Epro was a Dutch producer who had also built the little-known and lesser "Minisynth"

Wurdem built by Minisynth still about 40 h, the Spirit was but a few prototypes much less frequently (not to be confused with Crumar Spirit)

Chord-Trigger for Korg Polysix and Poly61

"This is a demo of an addon module for the Korg Polysix and the Korg Poly61. The addon establishes a trigger input, which triggers the played voices of the synth if an external trigger signal is provided. If no cable is inserted in the trigger input, the synth will behave normally.

This is still a prototype, and the final version will look a little bit different.The addon module will be available as kit and as complete module.

To add the module to the Polysix/Poly61 good skills in desoldering chips are required. It is easily possible to remove the kit and to bring the synth back to the original state.

CME Xkey37 Arrives in Time for NAMM

Announced last year at the Musikmesse, it appears the CME Xkey37 poly aftertouch keyboard controller is finally arriving.

Aside from the extra octave, the Xkey37 adds a new Xport connector for:

MIDI OUT (DIN-5 through Xcable).
Sustain Pedal input (6.35mm (1/4") jack through Xcable).
Expression Pedal input (6.35mm (1/4") jack through Xcable).

Note the original Xkey was USB only. The new MIDI cable should make using the Xkey37 with stand alone desktop synths possible, however being USB bus powered, I'm guessing you will have to have it connected to a USB power source at the same time.

All Connected #7 & #8 Announced

"2 new dates are announced in the Al Connected series at Ancienne Belgique, Huis23, Brussels.

The series involves concerts, films, readings and instrument presentations with and about artists who play with the language of ‘voltage control’, who use the ‘modular’ as creative thought process and test musical limits with it, artists who work in the spirit of San Francisco Tape Music Centre.

On February 8 we’ll have Jenny Gräf Sheppard who’ll play a live set on, and provide explanation about, her Ciat-Lonbarde instrument. Peter Beyls will let us hear a number of old tape pieces and explain his work. And to make the evening complete, we'll be screening a number of short films by Lilian Schwartz, one of the pioneers of video- and computer art.
