Audulus 2 Minute Tip - 8: How to Make a Muxing Sequencer

"You don't just need a Sequencer node to make a sequencer. I actually prefer to make them this way - it's very easy to apply an LFO and change the directionality.
To use this sequencer to control an oscillator (instead of, say, a parameter of an effect), just send it through a Quantizer module.
...And why do I multiply it by 7.99 and not 8? Well, x8 wraps around back to 1, since the value range of 0-.999... is the first step, and 7-7.999... is the value range of the last step. If you set the max to just 7, it would only reach the final step for the duration of 1 sample.
The 2 Minute Tip series breaks apart topics on Audulus into bite-sized chunks. I don't talk during the tutorials (though there are a few notes that pop up), and this is so that international viewers who don't understand English well don't feel left out. Familiarize yourself with the node menu and my navigation won't be so mystifying. In the future, we'll develop a finger press indicator so you can see where I'm tapping.

a new grid application. parameter-phased modulator. a step sequencer arpeggiator. two voices with independent loop positions and speed per parameter: trigger, accent, duration, note, octave, transposition, scale.

"In this experiment was trying to build a patch around a single trigger signal. The idea is to detect tactile interactions with the modular
and use it to drive the tempo of the patch. im looking forward to try this with more different triggers and with also measuring the change
in electrical resistance depending on the size of area being touched. It was a lot of fun to work with Nora Staggl, we didn't rehearse, in fact the whole thing was done in about an hour."
We can now play Twister with modulars.

"Just a quick demo of some of the sounds from this module. 9 audio rate chaotic signals mixed to form 'neuron clusters' The idea is low frequency patterns will emerge from the mayhem."

"The synth has just been fully refurbished at Analog Hut in Brooklyn. The synth has a few slight cosmetic minor imperfections but it is fully working condition. It's clean and sounds great, This synth contains the original factory presets, original Manual, and Roland power Cord. Only used in the Studio."

Minilogue Demo - Sequencer and Voice Modes, by Earmonkey

"The first chance I've had to get a video going. It is taking me a bit to figure out how this machine wants to be loved. It excels at inviting discovery and constantly changing things. Here's a rundown of what in the video:
I started with just an INIT patch, one square wave, no FX. Programmed a little polyphonic sequence, then started messing with the filter, envelopes, LFO, and Voice Mode Depth knobs. I really kept it at just this one saw tooth wave and simply changed voice modes. First Poly, then Duo, then Unison, then Mono, then Arp. I added some chorus and reverb when I got to Mono mode, and I added some Roland Space Chorus tape delay when I got to the arp.
I think this synth sounds super warm and wonderful. The modulation possibilities are so fun, even with a limited LFO section (you can only assign the LFO to one source!). I haven't even scratched the motion sequencing which would give you tons more modulation capabilities.
Hope you enjoy the little fiddle I had here."
