Sanxion Remix 2016 by Jason Page
Published on Feb 2, 2016
"Rob Hubbard's classic Sanxion intro on SidTracker 64, remixed by Jason Page.
Jason: 'To celebrate 30 years since the original classic, I've remixed the Sanxion C64 music - using nothing but a single SID (the same hardware as the original track was written with)
.sid and .prg here: csdb.dk/release/?id=144708
This involved an initial stage of recreating the whole track in SIDTracker64 (patterns and instruments), before I could then remix it.
This is a 3 channel SID file. No samples. No outboard gear.
Written with SIDTracker64 on the iPad.
Thanks to Chris Abbott(that's two B's and two T's) for the assistance & permission to release this!
Hope you like it!'"

Dorkus-18 Eurorack modular synthesiser patch
Published on Feb 2, 2016 Luke Killen
"This pretty patch sees a Mannequins Mangrove VCO modulated by a Abstrakt Data ADE32 and then filtered through a Sputnik Quad VCF/VCA (in VCF mode) with a Frequency Central X envelope acting as the VCA envelope and as modulation for the VCF. The 'plink' is a Mutable Instruments Rings being modulated from a variety of sources including the Absract Data ADE32 and 4ms PEG. It is being strummed by a SSF Propagate and the 1v/oct melody is from a Make noise Rene. The kick is from a mutable Instruments Peaks, the Snare is from a Noise Engineering Basimilus Iteratus, and the bass drop is from an EG modulated peaks in 'Fold' mode."

Caterina Barbieri - Vertical
Published on Jan 3, 2015 caterina barbieri
This one in via IMPREC. Recorded entirely on a Buchla 200. There is a chance there will be an LP pressing in the future.
"From Caterina Barbieri's debut album Vertical (Important Records/Cassauna, 8 October 2014) composed for Buchla modular synthesizer and vocals.
Vertical originates from a meditation on primary waveforms and the polyrhythmic dancing of harmonics in synthetic sounds, stylized in severe architectures of time and space, on the boundary between drone, minimalism and techno in multichannel listening environments. This minimalistic focus arises from the exploration of the stratigraphic potential of voltage-controlled synthesizers, in terms of polyrhythm and polyphony.

"Vertical is Caterina Barbieri's debut album and it was composed for vocals and Buchla 200 modular synthesizer.
Vertical takes a meditative approach to primary waveforms and the polyrhythm of harmonics, stretching the boundaries between drone, minimalism and techno in multichannel systems. This minimalistic focus arises from the polyrhythmic and stratigraphic potential of voltage-controlled sequencers.
Synthesis, drone and immersive listening are three fundamental conditions to enhance an advanced auditory art, not based on extrinsic links but solely built on the experience of the spectrum, able to develop our very limited ability of perceiving the vertical domain of music, involving us in a holistic way.
Caterina Barbieri (1990) is a composer and performer of electro-acoustic music. Mostly interested in modular synthesis, three-dimensional spatialisation and psychoacoustic aural sculpture, her music arises from a meditative approach to primary waveforms and the polyrhythm of harmonics..
She received a degree in classical guitar and electro-acoustic music at the conservatory of Bologna, Italy (plus an exchange programme at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden) with a thesis about time, space and spectrum in vertical music. She's currently attending a bachelor in literature and she's active as audiovisual artist, acousmatic composer and guitarist. Her work has been commissioned and performed in festivals and venues of experimental music."
