Homemade synthesizer song #8

Published on Nov 14, 2016 organfairy

"This is not so much of a song. It's more a demo showing what will happen if a simple 16 step sequence of notes are ring modulated with a sweep up and down of a square wave.
But to make it sound more like an arrangement I have added some bass notes and some bursts of modulated noise."

See the organfairy label at the bottom of this post for more.

Hexinverter - Red Dragon

Published on Nov 14, 2016 DivKidVideo

"*PLEASE NOTE* this is a prototype with an overlay over the cut blank panel. Functions/sound is the same but it will be a standard panel, note white as this looks.

The Red Dragon is a Soviet inspired (cough cough Polivoks) based low pass filter. It offers an overdrive at the input stage, 6dB to 24dB response to the cut off, two resonance flavours and a VCA on the output. It takes to modulation like a trooper! Check it out."

DreamsOfWires - Live Analog Jam: AJH Mini Mod, Roland SH-1 & Atlantis

Published on Nov 14, 2016 DreamsOfWires

"Live jam using analogue synths: AJH Mini Mod full system (pattern), Roland SH-1 (melodies), Intellijel Atlantis (drone).
Recorded into Reaper DAW, with Eventide Ultraverb (trial version - it's too expensive for me). Pattern on the Mini Mod system was from an Arturia Keystep via Expert Sleepers FH-1.
Video recorded using a Lumix GX7 and iPhone 5.
Outdoor footage of Northumberland (UK) during a late summer walk using an iPhone 5."

This years expo featured the latest and the vintage in product-lines from Moog, Eventide, Prophet, Korg, Native Instruments, and more, allowing the public to get their hands on synths, throw some headphones on, and hear what noises they could make for themselves. 2000s Red Alesis Andromeda 16-Voice Analog Synthesizer

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

"The Alesis Andromeda is far and away from any other analog synthesizer you've likely played. The designers went bonkers loading up on features:
16 analog voices
Oscillators derived from the Moog Modular 921 Module
Two filters per voice: Moog ladder and Oberheim SEM
Arpeggiator and Sequencer
Looping multi-stage envelopes with user defined curves
Ring Mod, Filter Feedback, and FM capability.
Three LFOs plus Sample-Hold
Built-in digital effects section

And that's just scratching the surface. If you're looking at this you're probably aware of the staggering sonic prowess this instrument is capable. Beginners should be warned - programming this synth is deep and immersive. Andromeda may not be for everyone. You may begin to feel some side effects: sleep deprivation, sudden inexplicable loss of time and missing appointments, difficulty breathing, skipping meals, excitability and rapid heart-rate. If you experience arousal for more than four hours, call your immediate supervisor and request some time off this week.

The red version is functionally identical to the blue versions, a purely cosmetic discussion. However the red face overlay is a limited edition that was manufactured prior to Alesis getting involved with Numark."
