An all-in-one synth voice with saw/square wave oscillator, ladder type low pass filter, envelope and VCA - it is designed for pure beefiness and grunt in the low end department. "Big, meaty three-oscillator virtual analog synth, with the option for wavetables or samples on Osc 1. Sledge has been described as a stripped down, knob-per-function Blofeld (the sound engine is by Waldorf), and having played the Blofeld I can say that's about right."
Side note: I discovered the video series by George Hall from this listing, and thought it deserved its own post.
