KORG TAKTILE Hack - Without using Computer

Published on Jun 5, 2017 oscillator

"This simple hack will let you use the KORG Taktile keyboard as ultimate MIDI controller for any hardware synthesizer without connecting to the computer. The Taktile gives a great range of controllers - faders, pots, trigger pads, arpeggiator, touch pad, pitch bend and modwheel - all programmable. And now without using computer!"

"Key weight is missing (see photo). You can't really tell when you're playing, in my opinion.
I replaced the "tune" slide potentiometer. The metal post on the new one had to be trimmed to fit the cap. After doing this it was a little bit wobbly, so I gave it a drop of superglue to make it tight. The 'Unison 2' LED is broken. It still lights up, but the tip is broken off so it doesn't stick up as much as the other ones (see photo). The number buttons to change patches/parameters tend to double click when you press them hard. I've noticed this on other Korgs from this era. It's totally usable, you just have to get used to get used to it. Generally the keys are a little loud, physically. I think that's just how these units are. THINGS I DID NOT TEST (because I am unable): Portamento Jack, Program Up Jack, To/From Tape Jacks"
