Touché & Minilogue : Stack Bass

Published on Apr 11, 2018 Expressive E

"In this series of videos, we explore some of the presets for the Korg Minilogue that comes with every Touché.

Touché ships with Lié, its companion software. Lié is a host of plug-ins and comes with tailor-made sounds and configurations for a selection of synthesisers, as well as tools to make your own software and hardware presets.

Those hardware presets for Touché are templates that make your experience truly plug-and play with hardware synthesisers from Moog, Dave Smith, Korg, Roland, Nord, Yamaha, Novation, Elektron, Arturia, Waldorf...

For a selection of synths, the hardware presets for Touché are one step further, matching some of their factory presets.

All hardware presets can be saved in Touché's internal memory, in order to use Touché in standalone, without any computer."

Testing implementation of MIDI control on the Moog Prodigy

Published on Apr 11, 2018 Konstantin T

"Recently got my hands on a Moog Prodigy to refurbish for a studio. At the end of calibrating, decided to add a quick MIDI input through a microcontroller and DACs for converting the data to control voltage and patching into the synthesizer. This is a little test improvisation recorded with the Prodigy controlled by MIDI, backed up by the bass performing on the Tokarev Protosynth V1LP synthesizer."

CASIOMOOG - How to bring you the 4000$ Minimoog sound in a 200$ Casio CZ synthesizer

Published on Apr 10, 2018 RetroSound

"(c) 2018 vintage synthesizer demo by RetroSound

Sound tutorial (or more a experiment) that want to show how can bring expensive sounds in cheap synths. It`s all about good sound programming. The famous Moog bass sound is one of the most iconic sounds in history of synthesizers.

Sure is the Casio CZ no Minimoog. The Minimoog is fantastic with unique sound. A real classic and analog beauty. But you can create also on cheap and underrated synths sounds with legendary soul. Try it."

Noyzelab PreenFM2 Farey Programmer Open Source Project

Another one in via Noyzelab:

"The PreenFM2 is an exciting little Open Source project for making a small, portable FM synthesizer with full microtuning. I decided to write a little Open Source programming tool for it in the Processing programming language. Full details of the program can be found in the PreenFM2 forum here and its available on github here ---- but briefly it is a tool to help with choosing the fundamental parameters of FM synthesis.

Farey Sequences for FM programming were introduced in the classic text by Barry Truax: Organizational Techniques for C:M Ratios in Frequency Modulation. http://www.sfu.ca/~truax/

In order to get the best from this program please read up on Farey Sequences for FM programming, I did an article here : and there are lots of places to read further."
