"This is an upgrade for the Roland MKS-30 rack mount synth module. This upgrade will add full midi support, Arp and Sequencer and 1536 tones storage. The upgrade also adds a LCD display into the redundant cartridge slot.
The Kiwi-30 Upgrade features:1536 Tones in 3 Sets of 512 can be stored and all can be edited. It is also possible to edit any Tone using the front panel, PG-200 or midi.
Tones are stored in Flash memory so no battery is required.
MidiCC & Sysex support for parameters edits and Midi Sysex support for Tone Dump & Load. The Kiwi30 will support full midi control and editing in real time.
The Midi Through Port on the MKS-30 is converted to Midi Out so midi dumps can be made
Key Assign Modes are Poly Single, Poly Dual, Poly Triple, Unison & Solo
Each Key Assign mode can have Staccato/Legato, Steal/No Steal with five steal modes (Highest, Lowest, Oldest, Newest, Quietest)
Portamento in all modes
DCO Key Assign Detune available in all key modes. In addition there is a 'Analog Feel' parameter that add an adjustable small random frequency to each note. Detune is best used with Poly Dual, Poly Triple or Unison keying modes for greatest effect
Three independent envelope generators. These are traditional ADSR type. Each ENV Mod can select from ENV 1 - 3 and has an Inverted or Normal modes.
Three independent Low Frequency Oscillators with 6 waveforms each. Each LFO Mod can select from LFO 1-3. LFOs can be plus and minus base note or plus base note only. There is a forth LFO that is dedicated to the Chorus Mod

The SP1 Eurorack Case – a modular 3D printed Eurorack Case
A 3D printed eurorack cases via Spiller Photo.
Torsten Spiller, the man behind the case will also make the STL files for 3D printers available for those that want to print their own: "A lot of work and effort during the last weeks to get this thing finalised. A fully modular 3D printed Eurorack case. I will also share STL files for 3D printers soon that the modules can be either bought through my online shop or stl files downloaded from my webpage. I will also share STL files for 3D printers soon that the modules can be either bought through my online shop or stl files downloaded from my webpage."
Details via Spiller Photo:
"Why be limited to modules when it comes to a flexible modular system? Why not also to be flexible with the casing? The SP1 growths with your needs. From the small to-go modular drum synthesiser setup up to the fully fledged modular home system…or even combine a stationary system with a mobile system. The SP1 can be extended vertical as well as horizontal.Features of the SP1 Eurorack Modular Case

Erogenous Tones RADAR Overview Videos by Learning Modular
Published on Jan 21, 2019 Learning Modular
"The Erogenous Tones RADAR is an octal (8-channel) envelope generator with AD, AR, and looping options. It offers a large amount of control over the shape of the envelope, as well as options to combine envelopes together, including quad and octal 'LFO' modes.
These movies are part of the extended version of the Learning Modular online Eurorack Expansion course: https://learningmodular.com/register/...

Playlist:
1. Erogenous Tones RADAR 1/4: Overview (LMS EE)
This first movie provides an overview of what RADAR can do, in the context of taking a one-envelope voice and making it sound more interesting by using more envelopes:2.
00:00 overview
00:26 baseline patch: one EG
01:31 patching an external VCA
01:49 envelope 1: AR for VCA
02:54 envelope 2: AD for wavefolder
03:44 setting envelop level with BLiP expander
04:38 envelopes 3 & 4: two envelopes combined for VCF
07:44 envelope 5: FM depth
09:39 converting envelope 5 to an LFO
10:44 summary
In this movie, I focus on the options available to tweak how each channel responds, focusing on the envelope shape controls:3. Erogenous Tones RADAR 3/4: Quadrature & Octature modes (LMS EE)
00:00 overview
00:34 Repeating, AR, and AD modes
01:27 Attack and Decay rates
01:42 status LED colors

08:01 voltage control of rate (BLiP required)
08:24 wrap-up
The Erogenous Tones RADAR is an octal (8-channel) envelope generator with AD, AR, and looping options. It features quadrature and octature modes where sets of four or eight envelope channels are sequenced to create overlapping patterns:4. Erogenous Tones RADAR 4/4: BLiP Expander (LMS EE)
00:00 overview
01:12 System Mode options (single quad, dual quad, octature)
01:46 quadrature mode explained
03:12 Speed control
04:28 Gravity control
05:24 Shape Delta control
07:09 dual quadrature and octature modes
The Erogenous Tones RADAR is an octal (8-channel) envelope generator with AD, AR, and looping options. Its BLiP Radar Expander Module adds a number of capabilities, including presets, digital attenuators, inverting and “rolling” (folding) the envelopes, chaining them together, delay, and more. This movie covers the features I personally like:
00:00 overview
00:23 selecting and editing functions
00:52 D-Trig (don’t trigger selected channels)
01:55 Invert
02:33 E-Seq (envelope sequencing)
05:16 Delay

Erica Synths & Gamechanger Audio PLASMA DRIVE
Published on Jan 21, 2019 Erica Synths
"Plasma Drive is the Erica Fusion series module developed in collaboration with the high voltage distortion experts Gamechanger Audio."
"It's official. Plasma Drive is the Erica Fusion Series module developed in collaboration with Gamechanger Audio. Available from 20th of February 2019. Video demo out now!
Gamechanger Audio is a Latvian company committed to exploring the uncharted territories of music electronics and creating devices that provide real value while stretching the imagination of both musicians and engineers. In their Plasma Pedal they managed to combine Tesla coil with a lots of Rock and Roll and the result is one of the worlds heaviest sounds with plenty of unique features and the potential to become the new standard of distortion.
Similar as Plasma Pedal, Plasma Drive gives you a new and previously unexplored method of achieving signal clipping in 16HP. Instead of using LED circuits, transistors or vacuum tubes to produce overdrive, the Plasma Drive boosts audio signal to 3000V and transforms it into a series of continuous high-voltage discharges in a xenon-filled tube. In essence – you are playing a lightning bolt of electricity, and the electrical discharges produced by your instrument are instantly converted back into an analogue audio signal, producing a quick, responsive, and extremely heavy distortion with tons of unique character!
The eurorack module Plasma Drive brings sounds of the Plasma Pedal to the next level. As per eurorack standards we added CV control over distortion level and dry/wet mix, as well as octave up and 1 and 2 octaves down tracking oscillators that add even more harmonics to the original signal. Tracking oscillators can be switched on/off manually or via trigger signals. The Plasma Drive module is powered via conventional eurorack PSU ribbon cable and the power consumption is around 150mA.
FEATURES:
o Unique distortion flavour
o CV control over distortion and dry/wet mix
o Assignable equalizer (pre- and post effect)
o 1 octave up & 1 and 2 octaved down tracking oscillators
Release date 20th of February 2019
Plasma Drive module will be exhibited @ NAMM Show 2019 within Gamechanger Audio,
booth 3347"
