Published on Mar 10, 2019 Opificio Sonico

"Hi folks🖖🏻! In this video the first of a new series of live-electronics jam using my #stepsequencer made out of #LEGO #technic "TAMBURO MECCANICO XXI".
It consists of a four tracks rhythm machine which mechanically generates the electric impulses needed to trigger the drum synth and the bass-line sync.
( [posted here] )
On the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci's death, this is my personal tribute to his genius who in the late 1400s introduced "tamburo meccanico" the first known automated musical instrument.

PATTERN#1 rig: Clavia NORD DRUM2 (HH and Kick), Korg Kaossilator (Bass), Korg Kaosspad mini (Delay), TCelectronics Hall of Fame (Reverb), Roland JX3P+PG200 (Chords) , AMDEK PCK100 (Elect. Percussion), BOSS HC-2 (Hand Clapper), LEGO Technic (Mechanical sequencer)"

READYdot's Experiments: The Ice Fortress (small How-To make an Icy Pad on the SK-5 & Jam)

Published on Mar 10, 2019 R E A D Y d o t

"Hello! Good to have you back (- stole that one from HAINBACH, go check his channel: Awesomness!!!). This week is all about the Icy Pad from last videos jam. I have made a little tutorial at the beginning of this jam so you can see how such a sound can be made without a lot of skill and material. A cheaper Reverb will do almost the same thing as the Empress Reverb. There's also my newly acquired Digitakt and Beatstep Pro. That last one is the Master-Clock and also controls the BitRanger. The rest is icy magic..."

AE#80 Moog Sonic Six Synthesizer Repair And Checkout, Part 2

Published on Mar 9, 2019 Artifact Electronics

"In this second part we button up the machine and test some of its functions."

SN 1797. According to them the original Moog Sonic Six's below SN 1300 or so had ARP diode filters as they weren't designed by Moog. When Moog took over they switched it to the classic Moog ladder filter. via Wikipedia: "The Sonic Six is the result of Bill Waytena, then the owner of synthesizer manufacturer Musonics, acquiring R.A. Moog Inc. Interested in the marketing opportunity afforded by the Moog name, Waytena acquired R.A. Moog Inc., moved the company to Buffalo, New York, and renamed it Moog/Musonics (which eventually was shortened to simply Moog Music). It was under this new brand that a new version of the Musonics Sonic V was released as the Moog Music Sonic Six.[2]"

"This was built to order by GRP in 2013. They make a limited somewhat annual run with about a 6-9 month wait.

3 VCO analog mono beast of a semi modular. Dual filters, Rich ladder VCF, cool Berlin School step sequencer with all the bells and whistles, like step repeat, back and forth, odds and evens for counter point type sequences."

Vintage VERMONA 2 VCO Synthesizer

"Vermona synthesizer produced in the GDR, was popular in the Soviet Union in the 80s. This fully analog synthesizer, with seeming simplicity, allows you to include several registers at the same time, which allows you to make the timbre richer and inaccessible to simple monophonic synthesizers with 2 voz, this is possible due to the nonstandard scheme of the wco generators + frequency frequency dividers, the same sawtooth wave Because of the generators, it consists of square waves and has a stepped form, it also has a very reliable system, it also has a moog filter, 1 envelope on the VCF and VCA, crossed on the VCF and VCA, LFO only with sinus wave also includes a delay function lfo. The sound is very clear, unusual, perfectly punches any mix, bass fat. The state of the synthesizer is perfect, all the nodes are in good condition."
