Volca FM on the beach - Minimal Electronic Music Outdoors (Korg VolcaFM)

"Korg Volca FM - very minimal composition/performance/recording using one patch created by me, recorded on a very cold and windy Norfolk beach. No sequencer, just a simple sequence of notes played manually on the tiny keyboard. This is a slightly shorter (and rougher) version of a track I'll be adding to Bandcamp soon. I quite like FM synths for clangorous, bell-like sounds, although they're not so intuitive to program. This sound was created using the free Dexed VST, then imported manually (copying the parameters) because it wouldn't import correctly via Midi/Sysex.

Recorded into AUM on an iPhone using EOS2 reverb (a great quality FX app, which makes a huge difference to the sound). Filmed using a LUMIX GH4, GoPro Hero5 Session and iPhone SE.

"Here is an incredible opportunity to purchase this vintage Roland analogue synthesizer module with the highly collectable #00001 serial number.

Roland System 100m Model 172 Phase Shifter / Audio Delay / Gate Delay / LFO module, serial number #00001.

It is in excellent condition (see the pictures), with only a little paint wear at the top-right making it less than perfect.

The module will be packed in an original Roland 100m box (not the correct one for this module, unfortunately) and then packaged in another outer box for protection in transport."

"The unit was recapped, cleaned out, and totally calibrated. This is a very early EML 101, and the power supply unfortunately was unrepairable (dead board mounted transformer), so a new power supply (much more stable and reliable) has been fitted. The keyboard has also been re-bushed with our high quality keyboard bushings.

The EML 101 is similar to the 2600 with its semi modular architecture, however boasts 4 oscillators and a multi mode filter. This unit in particular sounds especially fat and nasty. We had 2 in the shop while restoring this, and we were shocked at the sonic fatness of this one."
