The Devil Commands (Prophet X)

"And now for something completely different...

Inspired by the Jerry Goldsmith score for The Mephisto Waltz, I wanted to use the Prophet-X in a more classical oriented score using only the amazing piano and string samples from 8Dio. I synced all the sequences from my DAW and used the onboard effects, sequencer and features of the PX.

Ritual Electronics Altar SVF & Miasma Distortion Eurorack Modules

"We just started carrying Ritual Electronics modules and we made this bass sound with their Altar state variable filter and Miasma distortion. The Altar is a unique state variable filter in that it is an 18db/octave filter where most SVF filters are only 12db/octave. The Altar has continuously variable filter types and an input gain circuit that can overdrive the filter core for tons of dirty filter sounds.

The Miasma is a distortion with built in feedback routing that can lead to screaming self oscillation. When the Crime expander module is added to the Miasma you can use the rotary switches to select different combinations of diodes for different distortion types.

The drums in this video came from the Befaco Kickall and the WMD Crucible.

Want to connect outboard gear to your eurorack synthesizer without taking up valuable HP in your case? The INTRFX allows eurorack-level signals to be processed with pedals and/or outboard effects, and also allows line-level instruments to be processed with eurorack modules. Each of its three channels has an Interchange Switch to swap this mode, as well as an FX Blend parameter which can be controlled via CV. Because of its compact physical design, the INTRFX can be placed almost anywhere and connected to eurorack systems with 3.5mm patch cables rather than bulkier 1/4-in cables.

Feedback effects can be achieved by switching into the "wrong" mode, sending the FX return back into the FX send, while still allowing for dry signal blend and modulation. Channels can also be patched into one another and toggled between modes for experimental routing. Conveniently, each channel can operate as a reversed linear VCA for both audio and DC signals when no effects are used.

Whether you'd like to patch eurorack through some classic pedals or run a drum machine through your gnarliest modules, INTRFX makes these connections easy and flexible.

"The DPX-1 has the rare ability to play back samples from a bunch of different models of classic 80s samplers. This is a dream for some who love and use the many great sounding stock sample libraries from these devices. The unit is very simple and has both 3.5" and 5" floppy and a couple buttons.

It can play back samples from the E-mu Emulator II, Sequential Prophet 2000, 2002, 2002+, Ensoniq Mirage DSK8/DMS8 and the Akai S900.

This unit is in good working condition with some overall wear from being moved in and out of rack cases over the years."

"The Synthesizer 101 section is a fully self-contained analog mono-synth. It features a 37-note keyboard (with no performance controls, velocity or aftertouch), and lots of sliders to tweak. Its design is similar to the SH-series analog synths. Controls for the VCO, LFO, VCF lowpass/highpass filters, VCA with ADSR, Noise, and Portamento/Glide effects are all within hands reach. There's also a handy A-440Hz tuning oscillator. Oscillator Waveforms are Triangle, Square, Saw and Pulse Width. The Pulse Width can be modulated by the ADSR Envelope, LFO or a 'Manual' Pulse Width slider. Control by CV/Gate. This synth really does sound incredible - especially the Pulse Width waveforms.

Condition:
The synth was bought about 18 months ago and was fully serviced by the Seller before the sale. All components are in working order. There is some oxidation to the face and the keys have some dis-colouration - having said that it is in very good cosmetic condition for it's age. See the detailed photos for more information.

The synth has original Japanese plug and therefore requires a step-down transformer to be used in the United Kingdom or Europe. This must be bought separately."
