BOSS CE-1 RESTORATION DEMO

"This morning I restored my Boss CE-1 Chorus pedal. I socketed and replaced all of the IC's - The MN3002 BBD delay chip, and the three op amps - and replaced all of the 220uf electrolytic capacitors on the board and gave it a try.

Wow was I delighted. It sounds so much deeper, wider, warmer, and more dramatic than before. It was scratchy, and rough before without much of the elegance I was hoping to add to my single output analog synthesizers (Jupiter-6, Mono/Poly, etc.).

I'm thrilled at such a dramatic improvement with just a few components.

This is posted for the benefit of my friends on instagram who don't get to hear these lush, swirling effects in stereo there.

There is a big Switch Compartment .To play with binary Dividers And there is a special place that you can take out and put other Compartments in Like capacitors LED or Light-sensitive sensors You can play with tropical Capacitors From the 60s and 70s .To make different sounds and sweeps . This is inspired by the tropical nice eurorack . And it remains in a standalone forward. For the people who don't have eurorack moduler . Because the compartments are limited .There are only 20 made for now . Every error tron Comes with a bag of 10 capacitors tropical and special 10 Normal capacitors that we using these days. This is just a personal test for myself; playing with pure Sine waves into a couple of different filter models to see what kind of tones I can get out of them. In Part One I'm using the Cutoff, Resonance, and Drive of the MS-20 Filter model to get various tones from the Sine waves, and in Part Two I am using the Low Pass Gate model along with Osc Sync and PWM Squeeze to get Bell-like tones. And of course, in Part One, I just couldn't resist adding the Blade Runner lead part-way through the demonstration... I just love that patch!"

Poly800 with Hawk800 and the rest....

"This Video was a test mostly for a new Video software is was testing out. I'm strugling to learn it but im getting there. This just took too long and as you'll se in the end it just craps out and I couldn't fix that.. ??? (Sorry)
The Hawk800 is truely a must for the Poly800 in my mind. it makes this synth go from lame to cool, with the AtomaHawk and FM800 mods. This is just some presets for testing. I have a better video coming with a Behringer BCR2000 and some realtime tweaking because this deserves that."

"Yes, this is an expensive TB-303 Clone. But i think the way you sound design on this Acid Bass line beast is super unique! It takes Modulation to a weird area where one parameter affects another. The Abstract Instruments Bassline is easily my favorite for that reason."
