Random Source La Bestia II - 07
Published on Jan 4, 2020 Jae Ryan
"I've had the serge put away for a little bit in order to explore some new gear while I wait for my Edelweiss panel to show up. I was craving the sound tonight though and decided to pull it out for this quick little ditty. I even took the time to set up the camera!"

Surfing on the grains on Glasgow // #JAMUARY2020 Day 4
Published on Jan 4, 2020 DivKidVideo
See the Synthuary label for more. Synthuary because these are the Jamuary synth videos. More below.
"For Day 4 of #JAMUARY2020 I wanted to create a more realised musical piece. If you get the "Surfing on the grains of Glasgow" leave a comment ... I thought that was a fun (or totally lame - let me know) title.
This piece is based on the audio left in the buffer of arbhar from this video - [posted here] - with lots of modulation from ochd that keeps the audio grains shifting through the buffer, in drifting intensities, with vary lengths and grain shapes we get a beautiful repurposing of 3 basic guitar chords with a few plucked strings in-between. There's 3 FX chains running from this that's all brought together as a stereo mix in the Eurorack system before recording."

Roland LAPC-I Synthesizer Sound Card w/ MCB-1 Midi Connector
Microtec XT 2002 Master + Roland LAPC-I Published on Jul 30, 2016 Ricardo Contieri
This one was spotted and sent in via M Me. Never seen one of these before.
via this auction
"The LAPC combines the Roland MT-32-compatible MIDI synthesizer module Roland CM-32L with an MPU-401 interface on a single plug-in card. The sound is generated using linear arithmetic synthesis (LA), a form of sample-based synthesis supplemented with subtractive synthesis. As with other Roland plug-in cards with an MPU-401 interface, an MCB-1 is required to connect external MIDI devices. The sound is output either via cinch sockets or a jack socket. Compared to more modern sound cards, the LAPC masters the independent generation of sounds, but not the playback of wave files. However, it produced the sound for many retro games! Original packaging with description! Everything as new!"
