What does this do?

This product is used to produce drum and percussion sounds. You can make 909 type of kick drums. The toggle switch on the left chooses between long and short vca decay. The toggle switch on the left chooses long and short pitch envelope decay. Smack knob control lefts you mix in a noise 'paper' sound for the drum.

-There is onboard distortion to get techno type of kick drums.

-This internal oscillator is triangular core, with internal reset.

-The internal trigger conditioner can take audio rate frequencies.

-There is a manual push button.

Why is there two trigger inputs?

You can mix in two trigger sources to create complex percussion patterns. The internal circuit is using logic 'OR' triggering.

This product was refined for optimum sound and response from the controls. Part values were changed from the original 909 design. This is not a clone.

"Very simple impromptu recording. Low bass frequency advisory - much of it will be lost in the compression process, but decent headphones or speakers recommended. All sounds AJH Synth Eurorack Modular system, with EOS2 reverb.

Drone sound: 1 VCO into Wave Swarm and Ring SM generating 3 octaves, then into Fixed Filter Bank 914. Sound of Wave Swarm gradually introduced via Ring SM's mixer.

Melody: 2 detuned VCO's into Transistor Ladder Filter.

"Demo of the Sinc Bucina from Noise Engineering, which combines a simple envelope with an VCA/VCF in a single 4HP unit. We explore its various modes and use in context with sequencers and other modules.

'Sinc Bucina is the sequel to one of our first modules, Sinclastic Empulatrix, replacing the clamping VCA with a resonant lowpass VCF and VCA combo. The velocity-dependent Ping input offers classic release-only LPG behavior, while the Gate in offers much more complex slewing, useful for simple ASR envelopes to dynamic modulation. The envelope out allows the internal envelope to be routed out into a patch for even more versatility and modulation fun.'"

"I was just messing around with my Hobo Fiddle this morning and I decided to plug it into my modular synthesizer. It sounded good so I recorded a short clip of it. This wasn't a piece per se, just some plunkin' around.

I used a sine wave drone on the modular and processed everything through MI clouds. It ended up sounding pretty cool.
