"If you are the type who likes things that are different , the Metasonix TM-1 may be just what you have been searching for. With its all vacuum tube circuit, there is no mistaking the sound of the TM-1 with any other device.

Metasonix took the basic circuit of their award-winning TS-21 Hellfire Modulator, and added the world's first vacuum tube audio ring modulator. The result is a new sound-effects device in a small, economical package. The sound is totally unique, powerful and distinctive. Use it as a stand-alone effects box, or mount it in a modular synth with the optional TM-D or TM-M kit.

The pentode preamp gives gain and distortion; the pulser injects small pulses on top of the signal; and the beam tube gives both wavefolding and ring modulation (carrier provided by an internal wide-range oscillator, or inject your own carrier signal). The TM-1 can also be used as a self-contained pseudorandom signal generator, by patching its output back to its input. You've read about "strange attractors" and other chaotic sound generation techniques? The TM-1 is the first all-tube chaotic sound generator. The results must be heard to be believed!

Frequency response: less than 10 Hz to greater than 40 kHz
Distortion: from less than 0.1% to 100%, depending on control settings and input waveform
Hum and noise: less than 0.5 mV
Power input: 10 - 12 volts AC, 50/60 Hz, 0.8 amp at idle
Inputs: phone jacks for audio input; optional inputs for beam-tube CV, VCA CV, and ring-modulator external carrier (requires at least 20v p-p signal for full effect) Output: audio (mono)
Dimensions: 7 1/2" (192mm) x 4 3/8" (112mm) x 3" (77mm)
Weight : 5 pounds (2.2 kg)

This device has been refurbished recently by a professional and works perfectly."

"This is the 4mb version which gives you 47 seconds sampling time (23.5 stereo). EIII is in fully functional condition but cosmetically has seen some better days and priced accordingly. That being said it's still pretty clean in my opinion.

All 16 voices work well and all the analog output jacks have recently been replaced as these tend to break down over time. A few other notable upgrades.
scsi2sd internal scsi hard drive with a 4gb sd card. This means it's super quiet and extremely fast load and save times.
bright blue OLED display
fan upgrades make this one of the quietest EIII's around
key contacts and all switches have been cleaned and function great
SCSI works great and I've been using alchemy on os9 to do graphical sample editing. There's a chip in the case on the lower right as can be seen in the photos, but that's purely cosmetic.

I'm including an ebtech hum elimator. These are known to have noisy power supplies and I found that this pretty much eliminates the noise."

"Jamming in the wild with #volcadrum and #microfreak. All recorded right into the iPad running #AUM. Microfreak‘s pads are slightly spiced up with #BlackholeReverb and an upcoming app from Bleass called Shimmer. Drums are going through #Korvpressor, FAC Transient and AudioDamage’s Grind while live twiddling its internal delay."

Some Techno with modules from Erica Synths

Published on Jun 7, 2020 Dziam Bass

"Hey.

Ok, after two weeks break from the modular first patch I made in this video.

I had the entire case with Erica Synths modules in my hand including the 2x84 Hp case and I used several of them like Pico Drums for drums with Pico Noise and Pico Trigg Pico RND,Pico vca, as well as VCO graphic VCO with my favorite LFO Black Octasource, Pico SEq and Fusion modulator Black Dual VCF for oscillators and Fusion MIxer to add some tubes sounds.

sometimes in brekadown big WET signals via Black Hole DSP for the sequence from Graphic VCO which creates this similar sound pad, it blurs the background so I decided to use it as a texture in breakdown.

So have fun and Big thanks for watching ;-)"

606 Day 2020 - 3 Roland TR-606 Drum Machines + ACE TONE mono Mixer = Delicious Distortion

Published on Jun 5, 2020 FizzFunkTV

"Fizzing Funksters presents Lord Drumatix on 3 Roland TR-606 Drum Machines mixed with the Ace Tone MP-40 4 Channel mono mixer.

The Roland TR-606 (also known as Drumatix) has 6 analog synthesis generated Drum sounds:- Bass Drum, Snare, Hi and Lo Toms Hi-Hat and Cymbal. Easy to program (16 step buttons, no knowledge of music theory needed). Snare, Hi-Hat and Cymbal can be a great fit if you need some 808 flavour. 2 electronic toms that are musical rather than electronic sounding (I'm biased so I'm not going to say they are the best analog toms). Easy to make a pop song with, but you have to team it up (or should I say Din Sync it up) with the TB-303 (That's what we did for our track Machine Music - see our music video on this channel).

The Ace Tone MP-40 is a simple Mixer with great sounding distortion (just input a drum machine and select the mic switch) great eq and an on board spring reverb that would not be out of place in a Kraftwerk"
