Note the following only applies to an extent: "It has long been misunderstood that this keyboard requiressoftware in order to use it as a synth. The venom however can do the samewithout its software. The Venom software just allows for easier access to theVenom's sound engine similar to the Novation UltraNova and similar products ofits time that bundled the option of using a virtual interface along with theirhardware product."

You only have access to a limited number of parameters on the synth itself. You need an editor for the rest. Back when I had time for synth reviews I did one including an interview with Taiho Yamada with some tips and trick. You can find it here. I also created a Touch OSC based iPad editor for the Venom which gave you access to the additional parameters. The editor was ported to TB MIDI Stuff. You can find an editor for Patch Base here.

Luftkraft, 82 Kraftwerk inspired synth patches for Diva

"All sounds you hear in the demo vid above are 100% U-He Diva including all the drums and no external samples or effects of any kind are used. Just several instances of Diva straight to the master output with a limiter on top.

Luftkraft is a soundset containing 82 Kraftwerk inspired synth patches for U-He Diva. The patches are made by Luftrum who have replicated several iconic and notable sounds and created a handful of new ones which Kraftwerk never knew existed! The result is a carefully created selection of patches, ranging from famed synth leads to resonant zap drums, recognizable basses and sound effects to panned synth pads and electronic drums.

Luftkraft is fully NKS compatible. It includes tagged NKS presets, NKS audio previews and comes sorted in a Luftkraft subbank, separating them from other Diva presets.

While being replicated as accurately as possible, these are freely inspired synth emulations, recreated by ear. The patches may not at all have the same synth settings as their original counterpart.

"This is my second video on the Waldorf Q. Here I demonstrate Multi programs using sequences or arpeggios with multiple sounds, split and layered across the keybed. The Arpeggiator is very flexible and creative. Melodic sequences can be built up on the fly and evolved in real time.. The Waldorf Q is a 16-part multi-timbral synths with 4 separate simultaneous FX engines. Less complicated than a full work station, the Q is definitely a 'play station.'"

Arturia MicroFreak Noise Engineering Algo Techno Test + Free Patches (Feat Empress Effects Zoia)

"Arturia has just released a new OS for the MicroFreak Synthesizer with as main new feature the addition of 3 new algorithms created by Noise Engineering. Being a fan of the MicroFreak Synth and Noise Engineering (I have few Eurorack Modules from them), I couldn't miss it, so I tested a little Techno loop where I exclusively use the MicroFreak with the Noise Engineering Algo.

As the MicroFreak doesn't have any effects, I used Zoia from Empress effects to add delay and reverb (I love this pedal), I also used different eq and compressors to mix the songs.

"ARCANE is a generative synth that lies somewhere between a synth, a sequencer and a drum machine, depending on how you interact with it.

It is based on an authentic Yamaha YM2413 FM chip; the one used in some arcade coin ops, MSX and in the japanese version of the Sega Master System.

To control it it has 6 potentiometers and 3 buttons. The pots are:

-Tempo. It controls the tempo/speed

-Base Register. It determines if the machine is more musical or glichy

-Intensity. The higher this pot, the more amount of notes and percusions sounding. This is a veru playable way of alter the generative composition by transitioning between the simple and complex sound explorations

-Sequence. It let you browse between sequences.

-Dispersion. the higher this pot, the most registers that we are writing on the chip, so the sequences get more complex and chaotic

-Combination. It multiplex, demultiplex and recombines sequences, keeping the output related but always fresh and different

It has 3 buttons, Left, Right and Reset. Reset is located in the arduino and is self explanatory. Left and Right buttons are to be determined as the firmware is still in development.

It has Clock In and Clock Out so you can synch it with external gear

It comes fully assembled and ready to play.
