"This is my first patch with the strange and amazing Rossum Panharmonium, a 'Mutating Spectral Resynthesizer', as it reads on the unit. Resynthesizers are an extremely rare kind of modules/instruments. The approach of Rossum Electro Music is easy to use and gets you immediate results.

In the clip, a full song is processed two times with different settings. The mix is 100% wet: you are always listening to the sound after processsing with Panharmonium.

Modules in the patch: Rossum Panharmonium, Qu-bit Nebulae V2, Intellijel Quadrax, Xaoc Tallin. Reverb comes from the Strymon Nightsky.

I am parting out inherited stage performance equipment. This sale is for a Kramer Pitchrider 7000 Guitar Midi Interface by ivl Technologies and an Instant Harmony synthesizer by SMS. OB SuperVerb: Sequential OB-6, 2 X Alesis MIDIVERB II, Audiothingies Dr. A

"I recently picked up a second Alesis MIDIVERB II to go with my existing one. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try stacking these wonderfully lo-fi 80's machines. Signal chain is an aux send from Logic to the first MVII, which is on preset 28 (XLarge Warm 5 seconds), with the mix at 100% wet. Then from there it goes into the second MVII, which is on preset 29 (XLarge Warm 15 seconds), and the mix is up about half way, maybe a little more. The input level on the second unit is fairly low. If you turn it up, it's instant overdrive that sounds like out of control feedback. Sometimes that could be the exact sound you want. However, in this video I wanted to explore the softer side of the OB-6, so it's a delicate balancing act of wandering up to the edge of overdrive and feedback, and then backing away before it gets out of hand. You really need to react to the reverb as you're playing, and for this reason, I feel that the reverb itself becomes a part of the instrument.

The OB-6's effects are turned off. The only other effects used are from the Audiothingies Dr. A. There's some stereo delay to get a little more width and let some of those harmonics open up and shine. There's also a little bit of plate reverb to smooth things out. I think these units together in parallel are a great combo.

"Our label, Moroderik Musik, just released something by an artist called Me, I'm Counting. The EP is MACAU. It was recorded with classic and modern synths, and references the golden age of electronic music, very early techno, some modern psychedelia, incorporating some experimental flourishes to keep it interesting. Typical of Nick's stuff, where it starts out and where it ends up are two different places. It's on all of the services.

The inspiration for the album came on a trip from Hong Kong to Macau, where Nick got sick, and had to ride a hydrofoil back to Hong Kong in a state of delirium. 'I felt like I was being carried along on a cloud of pure air conditioning.'

Here's the video for "Wave Age" which was shot when four Moroderik acts set up and played a masked, distanced outdoor show during the pandemic to get live music to people who were starved for it. Nick is using Elektron and Moog gear. Dreamy footage is interspersed with his live performance."
