"On my previous video featuring the Waldorf M, I used the synth DRY (without any effect). For this time I wanted to get back using the 4 individual outputs coupled with a few effects!
Hope you'll enjoy and please watch till the end as I have a question ❓ for you 😉

The M was used in its multi-timbral mode with the 4 parts (Bass, Chimes, Lead1, Lead2) going to different outputs processed by different effects (see below). I've used the Pioneer RMX-500 on one of the lead part to make transition, build-ups, add movement etc.

* Hardware used *
- Waldorf - M with the following effects for the:
- BASS: Elektron - Analog Drive (Distortion) + Walrus Audio Julianna (Chorus/Vibrato) + Dakglass Microtubes X (Distortion - connected to the left ouput of the Julianna pedal)
- CHIMES: Strymon Timeline (dTape Delay)
- LEAD1: Strymon Bigsky (Shimmer Reverb)
- LEAD2: Eventide H9 Max (Mod Delay) + Pioneer RMX-500"

I've slept on this modulation type for way too long. I didn't realize that using Noise as a modulation source on a synthesizer could be so powerful! What's great about this type of modulation is that you can do it on almost any synthesizer as long as you have an LFO that can go into Random or Sample & Hold mode. I show you how in the video! Eurorack: A Relaxing Semi-Generative Ambient Soundscape

"Something relaxing for this weekend:
2hp Play provides a looping rain and thunder sound I recorded some time ago.
Mutable Instruments Rings through Beads receives cv from Mother-32 and the other Mother-32 plays a few notes. Both M-32's sequencers are in random mode.
Moog Subharmonicon does the filtered chord progression. Everything is mixed into Intellijel Mixup and goes through Strymon BigSky reverb pedal in Cloud mode.
Not in camera, but towards the end I improvised on the second M-32 with its little keyboard."
