Demo video in the listing posted back in 2010 here. "ARP Quartet - beautiful sounding analog synth. The Quartet is exactly the same a the Siel Orchestra synth: ARP just licensed the design for the US market. It has "brass", "piano", "organ" and "strings" sections, and any two sounds can be combined together. The brass, organ and piano are cool and funky sounding, but this synth is ALL about the string section. Absolutely beautiful sounding chorused synth strings, in the same vein as a Solina string synth, but I actually think the Quartet strings are richer than the Solina. Everything works exactly as it should, all sliders and knobs work perfectly, all keys work as they should. There are two mods done: I replaced the flimsy and tricky-to-access "fine tune" knob with a trimmer pot. You can now set the fine tuning with a small flathead screwdriver using the trimpot. However, in the last several years, I've never needed to touch the tuning, once set it holds tune perfectly. The second and most important mod is a "re trigger off" switch to disable the voice re-triggering. Previous to this mod, if you were playing chords with a long release (which you'll want to do with the string section because it sounds awesome), and switched to another chord, you would hear the release cut off as you switched chords. With this mod, the release continues naturally after you change notes/chords, and you can get the beautiful long release on the string section that sounds fantastic. I don't know why they didn't design the synth like this, but now you have both options for re-trigger or re-trigger defeat. The ARP Quartet sound is all over the Portishead LP 'third'"

"Jungle Gardenia" - on Elka X-1000

video upload by organfairy

"One of the lesser known instrumentals by Mike Oldfield. It was the B-side of his 'Crime of Passion' single from 1984 but I don't think it was on any albums except as a bonus track on later releases.

Here I play it on my Elka X-1000 organ."

05- The Therevox ET-5: Effects and Tuning

video upload by AutomaticGainsay

"This is a demonstration of the sound and functionality of the effects found on the Therevox ET-5, along with a demonstration of the useful tuning function incorporated into the design.

The entrance and exit theme music of this demonstration was created entirely with the Therevox ET-5, including drums."

Teenage Engineering OP-1 field demo (no talking)

video upload by Hunart©

"Hi Everyone!

Recently I've finally could play with the newer version of the old beloved OP-1. This is just a quick soundcheck, recorded track by track in to Ableton, I've used very little EQ (cosmetics) and a limiter on the whole material. It is awesome for its size, I hope I can afford one in the future, as there's much more inside that you can see in the specs.

Enjoy and feel free to ask any questions!

Arturia JUP-8 V - Sound Bank '79

video upload by Polydata

"Drawing from the earliest days of polyphonic synthesizers, Sound Bank ‘79 for the Arturia JUP-8 V finds its inspiration in synthesizer music found in documentaries and library music from the late 70’s and early 80’s.

A bank comprising 40 patches for instant inspiration. The goal was to squeeze as much vintage analog juice out of this plug-in as possible, primarily working within the constraints of the original Roland Jupiter-8. I was honestly blown away by how good this plug-in can sound, and will definitely by using a lot more going forward.

Sound Bank '79 is a series of vintage tones for different synths and plug-ins, so look out for future releases. Recorded with no external processing - what you hear is all from the plug-in.

Phantasmal Force micro midi controller synthetic generative krautrock w/ M8 Tracker & Roland J6

video upload by Arman Bohn

"New device design.

Phantasmal Force micro 16 button MIDI controller. Each button can be configured to do just about anything in the midi world (cc toggling & momentary, note, chords, play, stop and program change). Save & load configs. Randomly generated teeth on startup. USB-C and TRS-A out.

Why so small? I don’t know.

Synthetic generative krautrock from the M8 tracker and Roland J-6. "

HWJ We Three Kings (redux) - Secret Santa for Owen Olley

video upload by SynthAddict

"Maschine+ jam of a tweaked, old, public domain X-mas song.
For Owen, I had to incorporate some nice chord moves, inter-
twining arps, and of course some guitar bits (fake-played with
pads - no loops). My guitar skills stink right now. :-)"
