The Jupiter-4 came out in 1978 and was one of the first polyphonic synthesizers along with the Prophet 5 and the OB-X. Being affordable, he was often found on the coming New Wave music. The Human League, Heaven 17, Duran Duran, Simple Minds and many other groups used the JP4. The sound is very unique and stands out from the big brothers. Wilder, louder, darker. I prefer this sound character over the others.

The demo video shows some special sound characteristics of the first Jupiter synth.

Testing Groovetube upgrade #1

video upload by Telmatronics

"We have installed a new control system!
The Telmatronics Groovetube now has a more powerful microcontroller onboard, which can generate more sophisticated control signals.
This shall continue to be tested over the coming days - stay tuned, we'll keep posting results as we have them :-)"

See the Telmatronics label below for more.

DIRT CHEAP / waveshaping chords / Serge R*S TRIPLE+ WAVESHAPER / eurorack jam

video upload by BRiES

"I ran stereo chords through a summing circuit (sumdif) to make a mono mix that I then distorted with the TWS+.

Everybody needs some mess in there studios. Without any mess...
Who am I kidding. I really love a tidy environment, but because gear is constantly being shifted around I find myself surrounded with empty boxes, stray cables and a litter of instruments that are either still looking for a cosy place to sit or having a time out after playtime. I'll tidy up tomorrow, I promise."
