SEQUENTIAL SIX-TRAK (1984) with OS UPDATE V 14 | CUSTOM PATCHES | No Talking
video upload by AnalogAudio1
"This video shows the capabilities of the SCI Six-Trak equipped with the latest firmware version 14. The best part is the programmable amount of oscillator detuning in UNISON mode, which can be stored in a patch. This gives much greater control and makes the Six-Trak even greater for big, monophonic sounds. The Six-Trak has a much rawer basic tone than today's analog synths. Raw analog power at its best. It's a kind of differently configured SCI Prophet-600.

THE PATCHES IN THIS VIDEO:
There are 100 patches, they will load to 00-99 in the RAM memory on your Six-Trak. As always I aim to create great playable sounds easily translatable to your own Productions or for Live use. I have created basses, arps, leads, pads and my usual styled analog keys too. I hope you enjoy these sounds as much as I enjoyed creating them!
You will receive all the sounds from my video plus extra sounds that are not shown in the video, 100 patches in total. The soundset comes as a sysex file with a patch list and loading instructions (PDF).
Six-Trak OS UPDATE V 14: This sound pack has been specifically programmed to take advantage of the latest firmware version 14. This is a chip that you can buy online and easily install in your Six-Trak (drop in replacement). If your Six-Trak version is lower than 14, the unison sounds will sound slightly different.
The "SIX-TRAK V14 Soundset" soundset costs 20 Euros, payment is via PayPal. To purchase it, send a message to:
analogaudio1@gmx.net
IMPORTANT: NOW KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR SPAM/JUNK FOLDER! I answer within 12 hours. After payment you will get the patches (including a patch list and loading instructions, both as PDF) to your email address.
The patches are royalty free. Use them for your music as you prefer! Buying this soundset you purchase the right to use these sounds in your music, releases and gigs."

I’ve had both Rev 4 and Rev 5 in my studio. This MKS80 Rev 5 sounds more like a Jupiter 8 while the Rev 4 with its CEM parts sounds more like a Jupiter 6.
Comes with the MPG-80 programmer, the original manual and a VST Midi editor for editing the sounds and automating them in your DAW."

Kind of interesting ASM added the logo on the power supply. Extra bit of detail and an extra cost for an already relatively affordable synthesizer. Curious how many other synths have logo'd power supplies.

Testing VAPoly16, playing with the parameters, going through some presets. At the time of writing this, the app just came out with an intro price I think makes it totally worth it ($5.9)."
"VAPoly16 is a virtual analog bitimbral polyphonic synthesizer for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It features 16 voice synthesizer, effects, sequencer and audio visualization tools. It operates as a stand alone or as an AudioUnit Extension (AUv3). Stand Alone supports Ableton Link, MIDI and audio file export.
The synthesizer consists of two 8 voice synthesizer, which features two oscillators, two ADSR envelopes, resonant high pass and low pass filter and an amplifier per voice. The oscillators features continuously variable wave shape and wide variety of modulation. The filters are modeled on the Sallen-Key filter circuit for classic analog sound. The Effects include delay, chorus, flanger, reverb, eq and compressor. The sequencer features piano roll and automation editor to program 16 bar pattern per clip. Project files can be saved in iCloud Drive, so that the project can be accessed from iPhone, iPad or Mac.

Strung Along - Jam #50 - Ambient Plaits into Monsoon [Modular]
video upload by Beast of Burden Music
"Fiftieth Jam! I'll celebrate by treating myself to a synth jam.
For this, I wanted to use the string sound in plaits with a random sequence to simulate some varying fingerpicking sounds. In the end the strings sounded more metallic and percussive, almost like a hammered dulcimer.
I programmed one random trigger in temps utile and kept this as the steady picking rhythm. I then programmed a second trigger which is much faster. I then ran both into a sequential switch and had a third random trigger flick between the two. I play around with the multiplication of the second sequence to bring the rapid notes in and out. With more modulation sources, I’d have looked to modulate this element but I like having something to play around with.
Turing machine quantised by O&C to a Japanese scale for pitch.
Shallow LFO modulating the harmonics to bring in the more classic string synth sounds.
To round things out I used Monsoon as a delay and added quite a bit of reverb for ambience."
