data.mod - MaxforLive Device for Ableton Live by Dillon Bastan
video upload by Isotonik Studios
"data.mod is a modulator device that can be mapped to parameters in Ableton Live in order to modulate them. It centers around a grid of math operators. Each modulated parameter (up to 8) has its own modulation source/value and each frame that value changes based on its selected math operator. By changing the operators in a chain of events and the source of their right-hand operand, you can create complex to harmonic oscillations that can be evolving over time or repeating rhythms. Great for glitchy/chaotic, harmonic and rhythmic modulations, it can be quite diverse!
Comes with
The device, user manual, 12 presets
Features:
Modulation grid with various math operators and modes of operation
Ability to freeze and loop modulation history
Gliding
Ability to modulate external parameters in Live with each column in the modulation grid (up to 8)
Many transport syncing options for making clean rhtyhms
Individual randomization and snapshot storage of parameters

Depeche Mode - Photographic / Some Bizzare Version (Cover by Synthfluencer)
video upload by Synthfluencer
"'This is Photographic!' - Depeche Mode fans know these words Dave Gahan yelled when playing live in Hammersmith Odeon in 1982. Actually, Photographic is a song from the very, very early days of Depeche Mode and might be created when they still called themselves 'Composition of Sound'. The 'Some Bizzare Version' is actually the first song they officialy released ever on a compilation named 'Some Bizzare Album'.
The song is one of the darker, harder DM songs and this version is even more raw and gritty. It is very reminiscent of the transitions from punk to wave, and the DIY aesthetic of punk in particular comes to the fore here with the hand-played synthesizers. Well before Depeche Mode redefined the genre of synth pop this early version of 'Photographic' is recorded on the gear they could afford back in the days: A Kawai S-100F, a Yamaha CS5, a Moog Prodigy and a Korg KR-55 drum machine. In my cover version I use two of the original synths, the Kawai and the Yamaha to recreate an authentic sound. The role of the Prodigy is taken over by a Behringer Model D, some support sounds by Pro-1 and Pro-800."
Patches on the Fly - 25 things to do with 2 Oscillators
video upload by Starsky Carr
"Detune, Sync and FM tones, following on from my previous synth programming tips. Here we have a selection of patches you can only create if you've got 2 oscillators per voice.
As these patches are getting more complex you can't recreate everything on every synth. Some don't have sync, some don't have FM... but most can do most of this, especially the detune patches. All these ideas will help you tp either start from scratch or modify presets to suit your track."
Bad Gear - Sell Your DIGITAKT
video upload by AudioPilz
"Boss DR-5 - Sell Your DIGITAKT
Welcome to Bad Gear, the show about the world’s most-hated audio tools. After redirecting the money for a nice 2018 weekend trip, spending a couple of years in my own private Elektron bootcamp and embracing the “limitations breed creativity” Zen I have become quite an avid Digitakt user.
However, today we are going to talk about the Boss DR-5. This 1994 drum machine looks suspiciously similar to the Swedish mono samplers so after rumors of Digitakts discontinuation started swirling a while back I might as well take a look at this cheapskate alternative.
