Tascam 388 Session: Prophet 10, MPC X, Yamaha RX11, Line6 HX Stomp XL
video upload by Retrothusiast
"Join me in this exciting recording session featuring the Tascam 388, a classic multitrack recorder that's stood the test of time. Starting with a groovy drum beat crafted on the Yamaha RX11, I sequenced the rhythm alongside a deep, punchy bassline from the Prophet 10 using the powerful MPC X. From there, I tracked everything in stereo on the Tascam 388, laying down the foundation for an inspiring retro music production. Adding to the mix, I recorded two guitar tracks through the versatile Line6 HX Stomp XL, and wrapped it up with a live synth performance on the Prophet 10, bringing the session to life.
This video showcases the seamless workflow and unique sonic character of these iconic pieces of gear. You'll hear the raw, unprocessed sound of the Tascam 388, letting you experience its warm analog tone. Whether you're a fan of vintage music equipment or curious about retro recording techniques, this session highlights how these classic tools—Tascam 388, Prophet 10, MPC X, Yamaha RX11, and Line6 HX Stomp XL—come together to create something timeless"

Instruō Introduces glōc - Clock Generator and Processor
Overview video upload by Instruō
"Introducing glōc, a clock generator and processor. Capable of turning a single internal/external clock input into a stream of related clock sources. Predictable division/multiplication, complex trigger/gate sequences via probabilistic masking - or any combination of both across each of its 7 clock pulse outputs. Onboard dynamic phase alignment, smart tap tempo detection and locked vs live modes make glōc excellent for performative and generative temporal exploration!
• Tap tempo clock generator
• 1 clock input to 7 output Clock processor
• Manual or CV control over the spread of clock divisions/multiplications • Probabilistic “coin-toss” logic for random phrasing
• Probabilistic density masking for repeated phrasing
• Manual Pulse width control over Clock Pulse outputs
• Dedicated Clock Reset input
• Live and Lockable Clock output states
• Smart tempo follower and manual button
• Save and recall settings between power cycles"

Musical & Fun Eurorack Clock Generation & Modulation // GLOC by Instruo
video upload by DivKid
"Here's a smart use of 4HP with clock generation and modulation/processing from Instruo with the new GLOC! Gloc (translates to clock from Scots Gaelic) has a smart tap tempo following clocking system built in for internal or external clocking and then provides multiplications and divisions with can be spread in time and then carved into with two types of probability control. One your typical random/coin toss with variable weightings or smart musical density masks that provide more repetitive musical rhythms. You can also program and lock output states (very simply I should add) so you can go wild modulating rhythms while keeping others constant ... there's a lot going on in an easy to use, small package."

First Patch with First Contact (from SetonixSynth & Tidbit Audio)
video upload by Musical Miscellany
"I bought this gadget at Knobcon 2024 but I'm just now getting around to making my first patch with it. I took an aquarium pump and put it into a pilsner glass full of water, then integrated the output with a couple Eurorack oscillators. The result is surprisingly pleasing.
You can purchase the First Contact preamp here: https://www.setonixsynth.com/shop/p/f...
And the contact mic I used here: https://tidbitaudio.com/products/wate...

40 years Last Christmas by Wham! ❄️
from the album: Music from the Edge of Heaven (1984)
Written by George Michael
Featured the Roland Juno-106 (1984), the Roland SH-101 (1981) , the Yamaha Reface CP (Rhodes) and the PPG wave 2.2 (1982)
This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers."
Dream Machine | Sonicware Liven Ambient Ø | New Set of 36 Songs
video upload by Sonic Cartography
"I haven’t had time to make videos for my channel for a while because I’ve been making Ambient Ø tutorials for the @SONICWARE channel’s Beginner’s Guide series. In the meantime, I’ve been accumulating lots of songs and song ideas on the synth. This is a set of most of them (some in abbreviated form), which I’m releasing all at once to sort of “clear the vault” and feel like I can start afresh with making new music. Unlike the previous collection I did, this one contains some actual ambient music—particularly the middle section. I'm not totally happy with how some of these turned out, but I'm trying to learn how to not let the perfect be the enemy of the good (enough), so I'm just going to publish this anyway... "

"This one is in good cosmetic condition and working 100%. This is for the synth only and not the keyboard. It has been professionally serviced and with a lot of restoration by Phil Cirocco of CMS. As some of you know, Phil is highly respected and is the premiere ARP specialist. This ARP 2600 is a V3.0 made on the 23rd week (June) of 1973. It has some unusual markings for V3. As you can see, it has the G-Clef sticker, but with the Tonus logo Silkscreen. It has the 15.5" panel which is correct for a V3.0, but has the squared speaker grille instead of the oval. All of this is cosmetic, however. It will be properly packaged when sold and will arrive in the condition as stated. Proof of the actual shipping cost will be provided if needed. This unit is listed as a USA sale only, but I am willing to ship to other countries. Not sold as-is!
Cosmetically - Nothing is mint, minty, super mint, etc., in my opinion, and this one is no exception. There are plenty of imperfections on this one as you can see, but the synth itself looks very good in my opinion. Please check out the photos. The handle was replaced with a new one, it has new Switchcraft washers, and all the jack nuts were ultrasonically cleaned.
Internally- Apart from any repairs (there were many), the unit has been disassembled and cleaned, all of the original sliders cleaned and re-lubed, the power supply has been rebuilt, it has a new Accutronics reverb tank, several encapsulated modules replaced, some switches replaced, several connectors cleaned & tightened, and the main out jacks replaced. There was a lot done to this unit so this will likely be updated."

Now on iPad!: Motto Akemie (Akemie’s Taiko Eurorack) // Walkthrough & Review
video upload by Gavinski’s Tutorials
"This video is a walkthrough and review of the Motto Akemie plugin by ALM Busy Circuits. This came out for desktop some months ago, and was released as a standalone app and AUv3 plugin for iPad a few days ago, and is based on the highly-regarded Akemie's Taiko Eurorack module. I really like it, but some things about it frustrate me, and I discuss all this in the video. I hope you find it useful both in helping you decide whether this app is right for you, and in learning how the app works. Enjoy, and subscribe and hit the bell if you are interested in music production apps, I cover apps available on iPad, many of which are also available on desktop."
