BRINGS / does it hold up to ELEMENTS / BRAIDS into RINGS / amazing depth

video upload by BRiES

"I'm still figuring out whether ELEMENTS is something I should gas for or nah. I have an ELEMENTS on loan, so I can compare.

I like this combo a lot but it's not as straightforward as ELEMENTS which has a tremendous amount of controls as well as 3 exciters at the same time, ... .

Soundwise I think they are definitely in the same ballpark. I also think they are dissimilar enough to justify having both (if you really like to explore these types of sounds).

In any case: if you have a RINGS and a BRAIDS/PLAITS you should try this experiment."

Bach STERSERIES - SYNSO

video upload by Sonic Seed

"SYNSO is a modular synthesizer brand from Hangzhou, China, specializing in the design and development of digital-based modular synthesizers with innovative and unique interaction methods.

SYNSO's design philosophy emphasizes digital and parametric thinking to simplify the interaction logic of traditional modules.

Pair StepBass with StepTone and StepDrum to form a modular groovebox—an ecosystem of infinite rhythmic potential, a machine built to generate pulsating club soundscapes. Or, inject modulation via the V/OCT input to weave melodic structures that transcend mere basslines."

Ambient w/ Moog One, Reface DX, SPECULAR TEMPUS | Germination 2025-03-01

video upload by atnr

"A piece created using the ‪@MoogSynthesizers‬ Moog One and YAMAHA Reface DX. Modal drone sounds provide the backdrop for FM synth phrases.

On the Moog One, I perform harmonies. After recording, I automate the Auto Filter's Cutoff in Ableton Live.

The Reface DX plays phrases via MIDI while manipulating the Feedback parameter to alter its timbre. Additionally, its output is processed through ‪@gfisys‬ SPECULAR TEMPUS to apply deep reverb."

FABuary week 4 Live Stream - Synth bag and Performance case making from myVolts studios from IG Live

video upload by myVolts

"Let myVolts tell you a little bit about their prototyping methods in their FABuary maker month.
We'll make a synth bag/sonic altar and a performance case with an Eurorack component.
Looking at making a USB-C powerboard to power the unit and some passive add-ons like clocks, mults /etc. to keep it interesting."

Embrace of nothing | Sequential Prophet 10, Prophet 12, Nord Drum 2, and Toraiz Squid downtempo

video upload by MIDERA

"I finally scanned in over 7700 photos of my parents and their lives. It was so nice to see them again, happy, exploring. Somewhere in there it all changed, but they still looked and seemed happy. So many times I'd see a photo and just stare at it for a few minutes, as though I'd been hit by something. Like seeing them arrive at their first motel on their honeymoon. Or seeing photos from the 70s and then the 00s when they went to the same cabin. It was clearly a world that just hung so close to me, but I never saw it. By the time I could get to know them in this capacity - they were both gone.

Now that I have my studio back - I can finally start writing music again. I pulled out the Cirklon. As you can see, I didn't use the Cirklon here. My goodness that thing just antagonizes me at every turn. I know I need to give it more time, but after two days using it, I put it away and within an hour, I had something I was enjoying making and playing.

"The smoothness of the gradient affects artifacts.

If the change in value is not smooth, that is, if there is a sudden change in value, a characteristic quirk will appear.

I used SEQUENTIAL Prophet-5 and AKAI Professional MPC-2000.

Visual is MotionDive2 and TouchVIZ."

Bree6 Custom Factory Patches by SYNTH_NYC

via SYNTH_NYC

"GS Music commissioned me to create 64 Custom Factory Presets for their new discreet analog polyphonic synthesizer, the Bree6.

Those presets are available for free as a factory bank coming up with the synth.

You can listen to them in high resolution (24bit 96kHz PCM WAV masters, FLAC encoded) on my site (optimized for Chrome on MacOS and Windows).

All presets have PB, MW, AT/PAT and Velocity configured, except the last one which has MPE configured additionally (Bree6 should be in MPE mode for this one) for the best possible expressivity.

It's impossible to make a bad patch with the Bree6! With or without subtractive synthesis knowledge, you can make a great sounding patch in no time. The Bree6 is the 2nd discreet analog polyphonic synthesizer released by GS Music (following the e7), it has those notable improvements:

- Poly Aftertouch (it responds to Channel AT as well without having to change anything on the synth, and MPE by configuration change)
- Detune (voice detune)
- Poly Stereo (hard panning per voice on L/R channels), Poly ('center' on both L/R channels) output modes
- Larger display
- Only 1 'Shift' parameter (the Sub Oscillator On/Off feature)
- Very few 'Menu' parameters (only the MW, Velocity, AT/PAT and MPE sources / targets / amounts in the Control Menu; and Transpose, PB Range, Preset Level, Unison Interval in the Preset Menu), so it's really WYSIWYH (What You See Is What You Hear).

It was a pleasure crafting those 64 FREE Custom Factory Presets for the Bree6, I hope you'll enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them and that they will bring value and inspiration to yours music."
