Many tutorials focused on recreating the sequence note by note, trying to nail the sound, but we wanted to explore the technique to program a sequence that goes faster and faster until it stops. Thanks to the Usta sequencer, it was an easy game!

"Reimagining 'Verso Dove': A Journey from 1991 to 2023

In 1991, I composed the track Verso Dove using my brand-new Korg M1, excited by the possibilities of its 8-track sequencer. Fast forward to 2023, and I decided to breathe new life into this song with the Roland SH-4d, completely rearranging and reinterpreting it.

Verso Dove, which means 'toward where', reflects an existential question I asked myself as a kid: What would I become? What did I want to be? The fear of the unknown, the uncertainty of the future—it all lived within this track. That’s why I chose it to be part of my record Synthetic Horizons For Dreamers (SH-4d). It connects me to my younger self, and through music, I want to reassure him: you will make it.
