Experimental Electronica w/ Analog Synths & Ambient Engine | Transcendence 2026-09-14 by atnr
video upload by atnr
"Experimental electronica created with the Prophet-10, Moog One, Nord Lead, MS-20, OP-1 field, and Ambient Engine.
This is the 1000th entry in the Daily Sound Experiment series.
On the Prophet-10, synth pads are performed with reverb through the blueSky.
The MS-20 plays a bassline via MIDI sent from Ableton Live. During the intro, the filter resonance is adjusted in real time.
The Nord Lead and Moog One are performed by hand during the middle of the track.
The OP-1 field plays a rhythm pattern via MIDI from Ableton Live. Modulation is applied with the CWO effect, while the MOTHER effect adds gated reverb. The output is then processed through the MOOD MKII with additional pitch shifting and delay.
In Ambient Engine, sine wave samples are loaded and played as sustained tones while the MicroLoop effect is applied.
On this channel I explore many styles of music using field recordings, DIY instruments, and hardware.

ESP32-S3 Polysynth Complete and looking sweet!
video upload by Bad Dog Designs
"The final video for the build of my ESP32-S3 poly synth, shows it fully cased in its 3D printed houses! I also mixed the OSPRAY-8 percussion synth I made last year into some of the tracks.
Did a full write up here:

Explains what everything does, how it works and how it's put together. Links to the project files:

How Ziggy got its name. A look back at the graphics development.
video upload by Joel Davel
"An informal video to definitively answer the question of what motivated the creation of and the naming of the Buchla Ziggy as demonstrated in screenshots.
Credit to Jim Phillips for the alien in his 1974 Easel Weasel poster and to Dan McAnulty for implementing the firmware and improving the UI that makes Ziggy possible. (And of course Don Buchla whose design this draws from.)"

"Berlin School Sequencer type piece in the style of Tangerine Dream.
Mainly the 5U modular with some 3U and Keystep Pro for arpeggiator.
Multi-tracked to Cubase and video edited in Final Cut Pro."

Memories of Blue
video upload by MIDERA
"Yesterday, we had to make the difficult decision of putting our dog down. Blue was with us since April 2015, right after my wife and I bought our new home. She rented a studio apartment in our house, after the kitty committee had unanimously agreed to allow her to move in. And so it was, for 11 years, our amazing dog by our sides, watching our family grow as we had two kids. She was, of course, our first baby... and now she is gone. It was so sudden, one day she was fine, the next, she was gone. It will be hard to move on, but what else can we do? We finally paid the price of having such a beautiful animal with us. I would pay it again, just to be with her another day, but that's not how it works... And so, I remember her always."

Plus Legio: Full additive voice on the Legio platform
video upload by Noise Engineering
"Plus Legio is a full additive voice that combines harmonic control with built-in and external phase modulation.
Get a Legio module and swap to this firmware today:
https://noiseengineering.us/products/...
Let's start with Timbre. This changes the harmonic content of the oscillator.
Time controls the internal envelope, shaping how the sound evolves after each trigger.
Then there's the LFO switch. You can turn the internal LFO on for continuous movement, or use the envelope setting to tie that modulation to every hit.
The Mod switch changes the direction of that modulation, letting it move the sound in either direction or turn it off completely.
And if you want to bring in some outside influence, the inputs add phase modulation, opening up even more harmonic territory.
Plus transforms your Legio into a full additive voice. Swap firmwares over USB whenever you want to trade additive synthesis for percussion, physical modeling, effects, or something completely different.
23 Firmwares.One Legio.
Visit noiseengineering.us or your favorite retailer to get a Legio module in your case."

Reticulum Versio vs Soma Cosmos
video upload by John Schussler
"The Soma Cosmos 'Drifting Memory Station' is unfortunately only available as a very large pedal unit. I've been on the lookout for a Eurorack module that could do the same thing, and found a firmware called 'Reticulum Versio' (created independently of Noise Engineering) that replicates much of the Cosmos functionality.
Now that I have both, I figured I'd try them out next to each other and see how they compare. The Cosmos has a few more features and control, which is to be expected since it's got more real estate to work with, but the Reticulum captures the core of Cosmos.
Many thanks to Ohnoabear (from ModWiggler) for his Reticulum firmware, and for sharing it with the community.
VCOs: Beehive/Plaits and Pony VCO. Sequencer: Acid Rain Ziggurat. Envelope: Zadar"

The Only Snare Module You'll Ever Need? | Shakmat Lancer's Lash
video upload by Braintree56
"The Shakmat Lancer’s Lash might be the only snare module you’ll ever need.
It features seven completely different synthesis models — Analog, Slap, Modal, Physical, FM, Granular, and Blend — covering everything from classic electronic snares to metallic hits, resonant percussion, noisy textures, and some seriously weird stuff.
For this video, I decided not to spend a ton of time talking about specs. Instead, I programmed seven different jams — one for each model — to give you a chance to actually hear what Lancer’s Lash can do in a patch.
