"This is the ultimate machine made by E-MU Systems in 1987: the legendary first stereo sampler, with clear 16 bits sounds, amazing dynamics, 16 independant audio Outs and 16 CEM resonant filters !

I bought mine at Nadine's in West Hollywood in 1989.

Writing mostly film scores, I must admit I don't use it anymore. Because of its superb dynamics and 16 audio Outs, it is better suited for Hip Hop, Rn'B & pop productions.

Non smoking home studio use only.

It comes with 2 Reference and Turorial manuals.

Needs a CD ROM player and/or SCSI HD to load external sound banks.

Very good working condition, in maintenance at the moment."

"In our KICKSTART series on the ARGON8 from Modal Electronics, professional musician, sound designer and synth expert Maik Schott demonstrates the numerous functions and possibilities of the wavetable synthesiser of a new generation.

In episode 2 of this video series, Maik explains the structure of the ARGON8 with its 8 voices and a total of 32 oscillators. The synth's more than 180 wavetables can not only be run through seamlessly, but can also be put through the proverbial 'wringer' in no time at all through the use of numerous oscillator and wavetable modifiers.

In addition to classic oscillator modifiers such as pulse width modulation, ring modulation and hard sync, the ARGON8 also features numerous more complex representatives at wavetable level. How these fast interventions affect the sound character of the individual waveforms is demonstrated here by Maik with some impressive sound examples."

"LE COURSIER is a dual exponential envelope generator which both have 3 different modes, a positive and inverted outputs, and a mix output.

As every Sovage Engineering module you can expect some uncommon behavior compared to your usual envelope generator.

EG I : Is a polyvalent exponential envelope generator, perfect for synth voice.
There is a twist ! In this case, it’s a second subtil attack stage that starts when your trig or gate ends its cycle ( falls at 0v), mimicking hard picking on guitar strings.
This effect reacts to the ATTACK and can be emphasized or diminished by adjusting the SUSTAIN and the RELEASE.

EG II : Is a snappy and really sharp exponential AD or ASR envelope generator that can be looped and turned into a bipolar LFO.
