New Loopy Pro 2 Demos & Artist Spotlight
video uploads by Loopy Pro
Playlist:
1. Loopy Pro 2: Polyphonic Clip Playback with MIDI
Explore one of Loopy Pro 2’s most powerful new features: polyphonic clip playback. This tutorial shows how to trigger audio clips using MIDI — either pitched, where each note plays a different pitch of the clip, or sliced, where each note plays a different part of the audio. You’ll learn how to set up MIDI routing to clips, configure playback modes, and fine-tune behavior with features like fade-out-based note decay. We’ll also cover how to use loops as polyphonic targets, letting them sustain while held, and how to add an intro section to act as a sample’s attack before the loop takes over.2. Loopy Pro 2.0: MIDI Loops & Signal Flow Explained
Learn how to harness the power of MIDI loops in Loopy Pro 2.0. This tutorial walks you through connecting a MIDI controller — whether it’s an external keyboard or the new on-screen keyboard — to a MIDI loop for recording and looping MIDI performances. You’ll also learn how to route that loop to an AUv3 instrument or any other MIDI destination to bring your loops to life. Plus, we’ll take a look at the redesigned mixer and demystify the new signal flow system so you can take full control of your setup.3. Loopy Pro 2: Organize Your Mixer with Collapsible Sections & Rows
Loopy Pro 2 introduces powerful new ways to keep your mixer tidy. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to collapse entire sections — like Inputs, Outputs, or Groups — to hide them until you need them. You’ll also see how to collapse individual rows to save space and reduce visual clutter, making it easier to focus on what matters in the moment.
Loopy Pro Artist Spotlight #1: Dub FX
video upload by Loopy Pro
"Welcome to the first episode of the Loopy Pro Artist Spotlight — a new series where I sit down with musicians who use Loopy Pro to talk gear, creative process, and the magic of building music live.
In this premiere episode, I’m catching up with none other than Dub FX — looping legend, street-performer-turned-festival-headliner, and longtime Loopy Pro user. He has been pushing the limits of live vocal looping for over a decade, and we dive deep into how he’s using Loopy Pro 2.0 to run his full live show.
๐ฉ Loopy Pro 2.0 is out today — July 11!
If you’re new here: Loopy Pro is the most powerful and flexible looper DAW around. Whether you’re on stage, in the studio, or building beats in your bedroom, it’s built for musicians who want total control.

๐ In this episode, we cover:
• How Ben got into live looping and built his first busking rig
• The (very weird) story of how we met — and how he discovered Loopy Pro
• Why he replaced his RC-505 and Akai Force with just an iPad and Loopy Pro
• How he controls his vocal effects, pedals, and sequencer entirely from the APC40
• The plugins and processing chains he uses for live sound design
• Touring insights: his approach to backups, reliable USB hubs, and hardware quirks
• His approach to the full artist cycle — from writing and releasing, to content, clubs, and festivals
• His philosophy on collaboration — and how looping opens up space for others

Teardrop/Massive Attack (Circuit Rhythm Version)
video upload by Guinan
"This week’s track is the ever wonderful ‘Teardrop’ by Massive Attack. Time to light a few candles, run a hot bath and get ready to chill out…..
I first attempted a version of this a couple of years ago in Logic after seeing the excellent breakdown by @GyuBeats . See his video here; • MASSIVE ATTACK - Teardrop - How Was It Mad...
Try as I might I still haven’t perfected this, but I thought it would be fun to do a ‘proper’ version using the Novation Circuit Rhythm. I’ve chopped and loaded as many phrases from the accappella version of the track as I could fit in the sample memory of the Rhythm. I think the Liz Fraser vocal is what makes 'Teardrop' so special. You can find the vocal track here (not sure how ‘official’ as it claims to be though)… • Massive Attack - Teardrop Official Acapell...
Everything you hear was programmed into the Circuit Rhythm and played live without any extra effects or synths.
I hope you enjoy my recreation (and on a Circuit Rhythm for a change). Check back soon for more tunes.
More details for synth nerds.

The Crow Hill Company Introduces POCKET STRING no-barrier-to-entry-styled string library plug-in
video upload by CROW HILL XTRAS
Press release follows:
"The Crow Hill Company creates POCKET STRINGS as no-barrier-to-entry-styled string library plug-in produced without compromise… with added ‘synthy spice’
EDINBURGH, UK: having recently rebranded itself with an aesthetic that truly realises company co-founder and composer Christian Henson’s heartfelt dream of encouraging people to make music and help them on their journey, regardless of whatever point they were at and wherever their journey began, The Crow Hill Company continues its journeying into ‘Season Two’ as a producer of resources and tools to protect, inspire, support, and provide opportunities for music-makers the world over, believing that music is, and should remain, a wholly human experience, one that is by far one of the most powerful forms of expression, escape, comfort, and remembrance, of which its newly-created POCKET STRINGS — styled as a definitive string library plug-in that opens the doors to collaboration between anyone anywhere, creatively combining live cinematic orchestral recordings with some rarefied vintage synth classics made to measure for added body, depth, and character — readily represents the cornerstone of this ethos, as of July 10…
“A string library that’s accessible to all without compromise — a distillation of the last 25, nearly 30, years that I’ve been working as a media composer, which means that I write music for film, TV, and computer games, giving you the very basic necessities to write pro-end string arrangements. Whether that be adding to productions, songs, collaborating with others, or, indeed, creating professional film scores — whether that be to demo for an orchestra to play, or, indeed, to go to broadcast, there’s been no compromises here. But accessibility is the key — not just with the price point, but with usability.” So says Christian Henson himself, perfectly positioned — as The Crow Hill Company’s original founder, forging forward by building upon his extensive experience gained from founding Spitfire Audio to originally offer a palette of sounds he had created for his own use as a professional composer to his film world colleagues by invitation only, though the rest, as they say, is history — to proudly introduce POCKET STRINGS as a never-tried-before strings library plug-in that aims to bring broadcast-grade string possibilities to everyone.

One Synth, One Track: Everything you hear is Novation Peak (trance/EDM track + preset download)
video upload by Sineway
"All synth sounds in this track come from the Novation Peak - no other synths, no layering. Just the Peak and a few drum samples fully sequenced and mixed in the DAW.
This is the first in a video series focused on the Peak, starting with what it sounds like in a full, polished production. More coming soon: sound design, jams, and a full review.

An Update from muSonics via Their Electronic Newsletter
via muSonics
It's Independence Week and while I had intended for this to go out on the 4th itself, I put a bit more work into something special for you which delayed it a few days. I hope that's okay with you.
I wanted to give everyone a status update on how things were going over here and also offer a couple of specials to celebrate. Out of respect for the dozen or so people who have been patient and trusting of me I'm going to let you know how things are going and then share a few cool deals.
