Niagara - Soleil d'Hiver, cover by Valmont & Angèle Borscha
video upload by Valmont
"A quick aside from the ongoing LP works : through one of those quirks of my tech sidejob, I ended up with a LinnDrum and an Emulator II in my bedroom at the same time :) My project singer Angèle and I couldn't resist putting them through a fun functional test. So here goes our first cover of a French band we really like. The song is called 'Soleil d'Hiver' by NIAGARA. Simply faithful to the original, because why not? x) And while we're at it, happy birthday to Daniel Chenevez, who co-wrote this song with Muriel Moreno :)))
Also involved in this live tracking: URSA Major Stargate 323, Dynacord PDD14, A/DA MB-1, Alesis XT:C, Dynacord VRS23, Publison Infernal Machine 90, Roland SIP-301, MXR Dual Limiter, Klark Teknik DN780, Yamaha R1000, A/DA MP-1 and BiAmp Model 42.

My name is Valmont, I'm 24 from Paris! I compose/produce music, take sound on movie sets and repair instruments :)
After a double bachelor in musicology and mechanics in Sorbonne, I ended up doing the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Louis-Lumière.
I wrote my thesis on Publison and Early Digital, which ultimately tied together my long-standing fascination in vintage machines, servicing and technical demystification with my personal attraction to these instruments.
I tend to hope for a unified low-level approach to music production guided by DIY values. This Youtube channel is a form of its realization!

Joranalogue and Friends / ODESSA chords / DISCRETE MAP sequence / CYCLE 5 bass
video upload by BRiES
"Apart from the bass (CYCLE 5) I'm not using any Joranalogue modules for sound generation... but all of the modulation, a lot of the sequencing and triggers are made with, processed by or routed through the Joranalogue modules. They truly are kings of utility (and more). I think it's fair to mention that I used quite a bunch of Schlappi modules for the transposition of the chords as well as Discrete Map by New Systems Instruments for the sequencing of the root of the chord as well as the main clock of the patch."
Still the Tonverk. And an external FX pedal
video upload by keinseier
"Still in love with the Tonverk. Still learning it - added the Solis Ventus here for some infamous shimmer in the latter half. Also - added a little preview at the beginning of the vid. Good thing? Nah?"

Exploring the Chromaplane: Live Improv, Tuning Screws, & External Drones
video upload by Andre Bregegere
"A live, fully improvised performance exploring the unique architecture of the Koma Elektronik Chromaplane. This session is a deeper dive into the instrument's hands-on playability—including on-the-fly tuning—and external input processing.
On-screen captions are included in the first half to break down the basics of the instrument and explain exactly what is happening under the hood.
Performance Breakdown:
• The Core: Sound generation starts with the Chromaplane, interacting directly with its electromagnetic fields.
• On-The-Fly Tuning: Watch as I use the tuning screws mid-performance to shift pitches and reshape the harmonic foundation in real-time.
• The Expansion: In the final act, things get heavier as I introduce an external input—the gritty, texture-rich Triad drone/noise synth by DecadeBridge.
• The Space: The entire mix is processed through the Universal Audio UAFX Starlight Echo Station to pull the mono signal into an immersive, wide stereo space.
The performance was recorded live, then lightly mixed and mastered in Pro Tools.
