Hotone Freqlux + Synthesizer Demo

video upload by HotoneAudio

"What happens when Freqlux leaves the guitar rig?

This demo takes Freqlux into a synth-based setup, using its tri-pitch engine to create movement, harmony, and new layers of sound beyond the usual pedalboard world.
NeonGlow was never made for one instrument.
It was made for ideas."

Pitch shifting, reimagined.

Freqlux is not just another pitch pedal. It is a creative engine built for players who hear more than one idea at a time. With three fully independent pitch voices and deep real-time control, Freqlux turns complex harmony concepts into playable reality.

Three Voices. Unlimited Directions.

At the core of Freqlux are three completely independent pitch engines. Each voice can run a different mode, interval, and behavior. Unlike traditional mono or standard poly pitch pedals, Freqlux lets you stack, blend, and sculpt three pitch ideas at once.

Each voice can be assigned to one of the following modes:

Poly Mode

Flawless polyphonic pitch shifting that preserves chord structure and articulation. Big chords stay intact. Fast passages stay clean.

Key Mode

Set a key and scale, and Freqlux generates musically intelligent harmonies that move with you. Classic harmony tones with modern precision.

Diving deep into Doppler by Jasmine & Olive Trees, a Eurorack module that makes drums from any sound

video upload by Perceptes and Jasmine & Olive Trees

"In this video, we'll be diving deep into Doppler, a new Eurorack module from Jasmine & Olive Trees that can turn any sound source into a drum! Doppler also has an amazing new mechanism for changing firmware by simply placing an overlay panel on top of the module."

00:00 Meet Doppler 01:13 Patch previews 01:56 Automatic firmware switching 04:28 Module overview 06:18 Noise output 07:09 Kick drum sounds 09:16 Mod control 09:40 Chord mode 11:14 Doppler mode 12:13 FM mode 13:53 LPG (low pass gate) mode 14:57 Snare drum sounds 15:24 Hi-hat sounds 15:39 FM tom sounds 16:13 Chaotic textures 16:36 Full beat with Traffic 20:07 Glitchy percussion 22:49 Different transient sources 26:16 Speech sample as body input 29:44 Chord progression 32:52 Doppler jam

Includes Door, Rubin and Lichen overlays for free, the firmware is automatically swapped when placing an overlay on top of the modul.

Any sound source becomes percussion.

Feed an oscillator, a sample, or any audio signal into Doppler. It shapes it into a kick, a snare, a hi-hat, a percussion, or something else.

It morphs anything into everything. The best friend for Traffic & Prio.

All the processing moves across a continuous spectrum: from a clean signal, to a pitch envelope, into FM modulation for complex percussive textures.

Built on top of our J&OT DSP platform. Future family firmwares can be swapped for free using a simple USB cable and our J&OT web tool, no extra hardware required.

Highlights

Doppler kick engine: delay-line pitch sweep, five depths from –1 to –3 octaves

Harmonic FM: modulator tracks the spectral peak of your input, plus cross-mod chaos at the top

13 chord voicings: major, minor, sus, 6ths, 7ths, 9ths, 11ths via four pitch-shifted taps

Two inputs: Body (main signal) and Trans (transient channel with auto-tuned band-pass)

VCA / LPG modes: toggle via long-press, saved to memory

Independent noise output: dust oscillator whose density tracks input character

CV: on Attack, Decay, Mod, Amount

Smart Attack: noise decay to the left, or long swell to the right, all on one knob

Getting Started: Patching with Filters in Eurorack

video upload by Noise Engineering

"Filters are one of the most important tools for shaping sound in a modular system. A filter removes frequencies from a sound. By deciding which frequencies stay and which frequencies go, we can dramatically change a sound's character.

Mettalicum - XOR Logic Percussion Synth

video upload by Sid Rockett

"πŸ”Š Exploring the Mettalicum: a new XOR-based percussion synthesizer built for harsh metallic hits, industrial rhythms, and unpredictable noise. Unlike traditional drum machines, the Mettalicum relies on logic gates to generate complex, inharmonic square-wave clusters that cut right through a mix. In this hardware demo, we run through the raw oscillators, tweak the parameters, and patch it into an experimental setup to hear what it can really do.

⚙️ Sponsored by PCBWay
Huge thanks to PCBWay for sponsoring this video! Whether you are prototyping a chaotic new noise box, building a custom MIDI controller, or ordering high-quality circuit boards for a full production run, PCBWay has you covered. They offer incredibly fast turnaround times on custom PCBs, 3D printing, and CNC machining. Bring your DIY audio projects to life: https://pcbway.com/g/1AhZrq

Ⓜ️ What makes the Mettalicum different?
Traditional subtractive synthesis uses standard waveforms and filters to create drum sounds. The Mettalicum takes a different approach by running multiple square waves through XOR (Exclusive OR) logic chips. When these frequencies interact, they create dense, metallic, and grinding textures perfect for noise music, industrial beats, and lo-fi soundscapes.

Arena Digitalis

video upload by Sid Rockett

"πŸ”Š Learn how to build the Arena Digitalis, a high-performance Arduino granular audio processor for real-time glitch, shimmer, and ambient textures.

In this deep dive, we explore the Arena Digitalis—an open-source Arduino audio project designed for experimental musicians and sound designers.
Granular synthesis is often gatekept by expensive hardware like the Mutable Instruments Clouds or Chase Bliss Mood.

The Arena Digitalis brings those "micro-looping" capabilities to the Arduino Nano/Uno platform using the new R4 processor.

Klik - Pushbutton Matrix for the Bastl Kastle Synthesizers

video upload by Sid Rockett

"πŸ’‘Discover the Klik module. Add a playable 4x4 button matrix to your Kastle or Volca synth for ultimate hands-on control and experimental patching.

⏱️ Chapters:
0:08 – Intro
0:20 – Controls
0:40– Sound demo with Kastle 2 Wave Bard

πŸ—’️ How does it work?

There are 8 patch points connected to 4 rows (ABCD) and 4 columns (1234) of buttons. Pressing button A1 connects point A to point 1. A2 connects A to 2. B2 connects B to 2 and so on.
It is best used by dedicating rows to outputs and columns to inputs. In this configuration every possible combination of buttons will connect outputs to inputs and cause a change in the behaviour of the synthesizer.

Based on the Synapsis by Bastl Instruments ! (...hope the guys are ok with it).

Feynman, the Universe and the DB-01

video upload by Richard DeHove

"Richard Feynman (1918 - 1988), Professor of Theoretical Physics, talks about space, fields and our place in the universe. He was awarded a Nobel Prize in 1965 for his work in quantum electrodynamics bridging light, radio, electricity, and magnetism. He was also a brilliant speaker and lockpick. During WWII at Los Alamos he devised the equation that predicted the yield of atomic weapons. With that is a single take performance of an Erica Synths DB-01 run through a Nightverb and from there into the phaser effect of the Strymon Mobius. The performance is exactly as you see it with no edits or other processing.
