VINTAGE PROPHET 5 ANALOG SYNTH - REVISION 1 - #173

via this auction

"This is one of the last version 1 models produced. It is serial number 173 (only 182 revision 1 models were ever built making this a rarity indeed!) It was hand-built. I don't know enough about the circuitry to attempt to fix it. I'm not even sure what is wrong with it, if anything. The power light comes on when turned on but that's it."

Sequential Circuits Multi-Trak

via this auction

"Sequential Circuits Multitrak. I have replaced the battery and also did the battery drain fix modification so that the new battery will last 7 years instead of 3 months, you can see the picture of the battery mod i did. It is a common problem on most multitrak's the battery drains in less than 3 months. I also got a brand new custom made power supply built for the multitrak. These power supplies are not made anymore, they are rare and hard to find and to get a brand new one made would cost at least $200. I had mine built from a professional technician."

YouTube via pjskyman — April 25, 2010 — "Another demo of the SkyMonome API I developped especially for my needs (http://skymonome.org ). An ADXL203 accelerometer permits the "fall" of the bubbles. This Monome 100h is in construction. It will be a quad 40h in a plexiglas package.

inertiaMirroredFrameWindow=new InertiaMirroredFrameWindow(new PictureFrame(ImageIO.read(new File("C:\\...bmp")),false));
monome.addComponent(new FrameGroup("Bubbles",0,0,16,16,inertiaMirroredFrameWindow));
Analog analogX=new Analog("X-axis",0);
analogX.addAnalogListener(new AnalogListener()

A peaceful afternoon (Plogue Bidule + 2 Doepfer Dark Energy + Audacity)

YouTube via GruithuisenCityMan — April 25, 2010 — "Hello ! My name is Frederic Gerchambeau. I have made this movie and this music. The music has been made with Plogue Bidule sequencing a Doepfer Dark Energy. Another one is played by hand. The sounds of these 2 Doepfer Dark Energy has been reintroducted into Plogue Bidule in order to permit to a long delay to be added. The all thing has been made in one take and has been a bit edited with Audacity (compression, short stereo delay and pitch downshifting added). Enjoy !"

flight of harmony newsletter - April 2010

"Greetings All!
It has been quite some time since the last newsletter, but that’s because there’s been so much going on that I just haven’t had time to get one out.

Firstly, an apology for the slowness of my responses to emails lately. For those that hadn’t yet heard, I recently learned (to my surprise) that I had to move, so I did. But, as the saying goes: “when it rains, it pours” or, as I prefer to say, “a lot of shit just happens all at once, it comes in waves”, so I ended up having to take almost two months off of work, and am now working like mad to get back on schedule. Due to all this, the website has not been updated during this time. I have a hard time sitting at the computer when there are things to be built on the workbench, so the site is low on my list of priorities.

I always try to be as professional as possible, but the simple fact is that this is a one-man show (for now, that is…) and it takes a lot of work. Please bear with me.

NEWS
• A new distributor has joined the fold: Geargas - http://www.geargasstore.com/. They now carry the Barebones Pack versions of f(h) modules! Depending on availability, of course.

• The Sound of Shadows eurorack module is available from Analogue Haven, Schneidersbuero, and Post Modular.

• The Sound of Shadows Barebones Pack (SoSBP) is now available, either direct or from Geargas, $125.00. The SoSBP works on a supply range from ±9V to ±15V and has an MOTM 4-pin power connecter standard, Doepfer-style connecter on request. The SoSBP web page is not up yet, hopefully soon though.

• Two special limited-edition Infernal Noise Machines are available from Big City Music. Each of these has a solid walnut housing, hand-made by George Mattson. I must say they look damn nice!

JOYSTICKS
As some of you have noticed, both the Choices modules and the Infernal Noise Machines are currently in short supply due to a shortage in the supply of joysticks. Now, after several months of waiting, I have finally received a response from the factory, so it is time for another group buy. These are brand-new joysticks, not “New Old Stock”. If you are interested in joining in, please contact me at: joystickbuy at flightofharmony.com for more details.

Thank you all very much for your support and patience, I am only able to offer these products because of you!

Health and Safety - A Compilation of DS-10 Tracks

On the KORG DS-10 forum.

via Chris:

"Its a compilation of music all made on korg ds-10 which i have written a track for. It weighs in at 27 tracks and 2.1hrs long! The whole thing was masterminded and put together by DS-10 Dominator who is one of the mods on the ds10forum. He asked us all to write a ds-10 track from a list of titles inspired by bits of text from the nintendo health and safety manual. Here's the post where it all started"
