Novation Peak/Summit: 50 FREE Custom Wavetables. No Talking

video upload by Anton Anru

"Welcome to the collection of 50 custom wavetables for Novation Peak/Summit. The wavetables give a wide range of tones: from warm, soft, analog-style to bright, metallic, harsh.
The collection expands the sound palette of the synth and gives space for new presets.
The waves sound nice in a 'static mode', and they give a pleasant movement when the Shape is modulated by LFO, Envelope or other sources.

💾 Get the wavetables: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/novation/

Unfortunately, Peak/Summit can store only 10 wavetables, but you may store as many as you want in your Novation Components account, and easily and quickly upload the files to the synth.

Instructions:
- Login into Novation Component website, choose your synth (Peak or Summit).
- Select the 'Wavetable Editor' tab.
- Push 'New Wavetable' and choose 'Upload Wavetable'.
- Locate a file on your computer.
- Push 'Save' - 'Save As' - 'Save'.

Now the file is added into the collection 'My Wavetables'.
You should repeat this action with all wavetables, as there's no function (I hope it will be possible in future) to upload/save several files simultaneously.

- When the collection is ready, choose a wavetable from the left-side panel. You can see it now on the screen.
- Choose a slot in a pop-up menu above the image, where the wavetable will be stored on the synth: 1 - 10.
- Push 'Send to Peak/Summit'.
- You can now listen to how the wavetable sounds. But it's not stored on the synth, it's in 'temporary' memory. If you like the wavetable and want to use it in the future, you should store it.
- On Peak/Summit, go to OSC menu, the very last page. You will see there the current wavetable (as well as other custom ones).
- Push 'Save' button. Now the wavetable is saved in a chosen slot.

The Hack Series by Novation

Published on Sep 6, 2018 NovationTV

"In this video series, Calc looks at the experimental side of our Peak Synth and the Circuit Mono Station.

Calc takes you though how to create a self generating patch using our Novation Peak synthesiser. He explores modulation matrix, the FM aspects of Peak and demonstrates how to create a patch that is… a little bit other-worldly.

Novation Peak Polyphonic Synthesizer

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

via the seller: "I bought this Novation Peak a couple weeks ago based on it being MPE-compatible (Multidimensional Polyphonic Expression). It's virtually n-e-w (I think I have to spell it like that or eBay has a fit). But, to be honest and not over-promte I'm listing it as Used rather that N-E-W Other. My purpose was to use the Novation Peak with a Roli Seaboard Rise. It does the MPE thing for the most part, but it doesn't integrate as tightly as I'd like in that regard. For one thing, I haven't got the MPE pitch bend to really work properly with the Roli. The Novation Peak works fine with 'regular' keyboards, of which I have several. And because I have several keyboards and a bunch 'o modules I don't really need another sound module that doesn't completely do what I bought it for. As a regular 8-voice polyphonic instrument it sounds great, really great. I'm tempted to keep it anyway, but I'm not really going to use it like I wanted to."

Arturia KeyStep 37 Chords with Scale Quantizer Demo (Feat Novation Peak Synth & Boss DD-8 Delay)

Sound Provider

Update: moved this post up as I had a typo in the video ID. It should play now.

"After my video about the "One finger Chord" with Arturia KeyStep 37 controller & Sequencer Keyboard ( below ) some people asked me how the keyboard manages chords with the scale quantizer , because doing maj 7 (for exemple) on every key is cool (and lot of good house or rave tracks we were made that way) but most of the time it's better to have chords that fit with the scale you use.
So I did this quick exemple , hope it can help some of you.
Little reminder, on Chord mode you can choose 12 differents chords type and on the Scale Quantizer you can choose between Chromatic /Major/Minor/Blues and User Scale.
For this video I also use the Novation Peak Synth and the Boss DD-8 delay.

Voila.

Leonard de Leonard"

Melodic Techno for Novation Peak/Summit

video upload by NatLife Sounds

"Link! = https://www.natlifesounds.com/product...

NatLife Sounds presents you with a Melodic Techno for Novation Peak & Summit synthesizers. It is an absolute thriller bank with very thematic sounds in it.

These are the sounds of the Techno Melodic worked out to the smallest details. For this, almost all the features of the Novation Peak synthesizer, also added in the latest update of the synthesizer firmware 2.1, were used.

You will find here harmonized Leads and Basses which are just perfect for Melodic Techno music. Deep and atmospheric Pads, harsh FXs, beautiful melodic Plucks, Keys, Synth sounds and of course immersed Arpedgios.

Since modern Melodic Techno music is very closely intersected in all respects with Progressive Trance, these sounds will also be great for this style of music.

The sounds in the bank have 2 Animated buttons, which can change every preset in very different ways, for getting more incredible patches. So it means that one preset can sound like arpeggios or drum loops at the same time, and the Lead can sound like Bass just with one Animate knob. Also, every patch has a ModWheel setting, so you can fastly use it just from a box.

Soundbank contains 50 Novation Peak/Summit presets, which are:

21 Bass sounds
3 Drum Arp and FX's
7 FX's
3 Leads
7 ARP's
3 PAD
3 Keys
5 Synth sounds"

New Novation Hack Series Videos with the Novation Peak

Published on Apr 9, 2019 NovationTV

"In the second round of videos in our Hack Series, -CALC- explores the more unusual side of the Peak synthesiser."

For more on Peak, check out:
http://bit.ly/PeakExperiments

1. Novation // The Hack Series - Karplus Strong
In this video, we explore how we can use the delay almost as a karplus strong synthesis method. With this technique, -CALC- uses the delay almost like oscillator - accessing and controlling it from the modulation matrix for the effects, making some really unusual sounds!
2. Novation // The Hack Series - Re-triggered Envelopes
For this particular patch, -CALC- explores the repeating envelopes. We'll show you how you can use the envelopes set to repeat and modulate various different aspects of the synth engine. We'll then further modulate those envelopes using Peak's LFO's, allowing us to create a random rhythmic patch!
3. Novation // The Hack Series - Chorus as resonator and delay
For this patch, we explore how we can use the FX modulation matrix to access different controls for the effect engines in Peak. -CALC- uses chorus as a resonator effect and creates harmonic delays by controlling the times of the chorus and the delay via the modulation matrix. Enjoy exploring this patch!
4. Novation // The Hack Series - Techno
In this video, we explore how to use oscillator three as a strange LFO control for the filter using one of the available wavetables. -CALC- also explores the effects modulation matrix and shows you how to take control of various aspects of the chorus and delay effects, resulting in one enormous sounding self-generating patch.

Novation Releases Over 1,000 Free Artist Patches for Peak and Summit

via Novation:

"To celebrate the launch of Summit, throughout August, September and October, Novation are going to be releasing 1000 presets suitable for both Peak and their new flagship synth from artists including Legowelt, Craig Williams, Lightbath, Hinako Omori, Emily Sprague and Shawn Rudiman, amongst many others.

Give Peak to different people and they will always produce dramatically different sounds.Playing to Peak and Summit’s particular architectural strengths – like the multiple simultaneous synthesis types, analogue filters, VCA and distortion, the high-quality onboard effects, and so on – these patches can be of huge educational value, too, giving you insight and inspiration around the varied approaches to programming Peak and Summit to find your own sounds.

Ultimately, these 1000 artist presets comprise a vast and diverse library of basses, leads, pads, arps, FX and more that showcases the synth itself, as well as the skill and talent of some incredible sound designers – and they’re free.

At the same time, Novation have also completely redesigned the Components application from the ground up, so that you can really take advantage of the librarian and the variety of presets offered by all these inspiring artists.

The new Components browser puts the Bank Editor and content side by side, and enables content to be dragged directly into the Bank Editor patch list. Presets can also be filtered in the browser, and you now have the option of showing the Novation and User banks together. Mandatory login is no longer a requirement, either, as you can now use site-wide features without logging in (although you do still need to make an account and log in to store user content in the cloud).

1000 artist presets for Peak and Summit will be released in weekly sets via the new-look Components between the end of July and the end of October."

WEM Watkins Copicat TapeEcho (Ft Novation Peak / Tanzbar / Arturia DrumBrute Impact with Solo Part)

Sound Provider

"On this video I did a Sound Demo of the lovely and vintage WEM Solid State Watkins Copicat Tape Echo with a kind of Techno Dub Loop .

To go with the delay I used 1 synth and 2 Drum machines:

The Novation Peak Polyphonic Hybrid Synthesizer (Half analog Half Digital) is used for the Stab chord part.

I used the MFB Tanbar analog Drum Machine for the Snare.

And finally I took the Arturia DrumBrute Impact to do the Kind of Tom Bass with its analog Fm Drum part.

At the beginning you can listen to the Full "track" , then at 3 Minutes you can listen to the Peak Chord in solo with the delay , Around 6 minutes you can listen to the snare in solo, then at 9 it s the DrumBrute Impact Fm Drum turn.

Other stuff you have to know about this video:

I switch off the Novation Peak Delay for this demo, the Watkins Copicat warm delay is the only delay used on this video.

At some point I did feedback loop with the Delay (with the aux of my Allen & Heath GS 3000 Recording Console you can see on the video).

I did a quick mix and master with compressor limiter and eq on Cubase

voila."

Peak / Summit - part 2 (250 custom patches / presets)

video upload by Jexus

"No talking demo of Novation Peak & Summit. All patches custom-made by Jexus. I did not use additional FX in the demo, all the delays, reverbs, noises, loops and other effects are part of the Peak / Summit engine & mod matrix.

---

So I bought the Summit and made patches for it and then learned that they won't be accepted by the Peak. So then I bought the Peak and recreated the patches in Peak format. Then, when I was auditioning the patches on Peak and Summit simultaneously I thought they sounded cool together. So I decided to make a video this way. So I had to buy a new widescreen camera and a new capture card. Then I realized I also needed to upgrade my video editing software and change some plugins. So everything is different;)

Additional info about the setup: the patches will work and sound the same on Peak and Summit. By saying "chained" I mean just the Midi connection. The Peak is receiving all notes and knob info from my Summit (via a Midi cable). The synths are playing the exact same patches, but they are producing the audio independently and you are hearing Peak in the left channel of your headphones and the Summit in the right channel. The voice architecture / allocating is unaffected and unchanged - take a look at the "voice LEDs" on the Summit and Peak. When I hit a key and the patch is for example a 3-voice patch, you will see three LEDs blinking on the Peak and also three LEDs blinking on the Summit (and what naturally follows, if I use another finger to hit another key so that 2 keys are depressed, three new LEDs will light up, totalling in six). So the patches are not exceeding the voice count of the synths - you don't need to do any tricks to play them the same way I'm playing them;)

Clockbeats Presents Novation Peak & Elektron Digitak

Clockbeats Presents Novation Peak & Elektron Digitak from Clockbeats on Vimeo.

"**Novation Peak**

Peak sounds warm and rich with filthy, biting overdrive. It’s an eight-voice desktop polyphonic synthesiser with three New Oxford Oscillators for each voice. The synth has a resonant multi-mode analogue filter for each voice, and three distortion points in an analogue signal chain.

**Elektron Digitak**

Compact, rugged and to the point. Digitakt is a formidable drum machine and sampler. With an astounding feature set and an exquisite digital sound engine, the stage is set for a striking encounter."
