"Finally watched Sunshine the other day, and when I got to this song my first thought was "Where have I heard this before?" I later found out, everywhere. This song has been in several films, commercials and trailers since it first came out for the OST for Sunshine. PS, If you haven't seen the movie Sunshine, you should. Its a bleak space thriller/science fiction film about blowing up the sun.

This song was right in my wheelhouse, so I just extended the builds and made it 9 minutes long. Enjoy!"

but yeah, i JUST wanted to do a cover that betrayed the super sweet bubble guM flavor the game uses to as its cOstume and do a cover more reflective of the games true colors. i waNted to make everything unsettling, building patches that are constantly morphing and modulatIng. and yeah, oK, sampling whispers and then chopping them with a random lfo, delay and reverb really adds something to that uneAsy feeling i was hoping for. i hope you enjoy."

"Jóhann Jóhannsson was one of the first artists that I found when getting deep into the world of ambient music. In college, I listened to his 'IBM 1401 a User's Manual' on repeat. His album Orphee was the album the got me through editing my 'Favorite Things of 2017' video. His soundtracks are all profoundly moving and inspiring. I was devastated when I found out he died. This is in his memory. Thank you Jóhann, for showing me how one can do so much with so little. For teaching me how much emotion can be held in a single note. Thank you for inspiring me. Your work had a profound impact on my life, my music, and my career and your absence is devastating. Rest in peace."
