NiftyCase - Firmware Update

video upload by ranzee

"Step-by-step procedure in updating the Cre8Audio NiftyCase to the new USB firmware. Cre8Audio have developed a new boot loader that uses a different USB protocol (HID instead of libUSB). This new boot loader is used on our later products (Mr Phil Ter, and NiftyKEYZ) without any reported problems, and without the need for drivers on any OS. It will also be used for future NiftyCASE, Chipz and Cellz batches.

I found this update also fixed my CV Pitch 1v/Oct issue."

Cre8Audio - Chipz dual VCO

video upload by John Schussler

"This is a general overview of the Cre8Audio Chipz.

It's a lo-fi VCO inspired by early video game sound generators. But that sortof undersells it...it's got lots of character baked in.

Each voice is independent. The first has a filter, the second a "duty cycle" control (aka PWM for a square wave, but in this case for more than just that).

The LFO can be reset, which is great for synching modulation to a clock (sadly I didn't get around to demoing that here).

Nothing else here but the Chipz and a little reverb at the end. Envelope by Zadar. Sequence by Stochastic IG.

00:00 Intro
00:20 VCO 1
02:43 VCO 2
04:14 LFO
07:00 Sequence
08:42 Envelope to filter
09:33 Envelope to VCA
11:00 Wiggle wiggle
14:40 Both VCOs, a fifth apart
17:18 Both VCOs, octaves"

TINRS Fenix IV + Gameboy + Circuit bent NAVA = ❤

Making Sound Machines

"TINRS Fenix IV + Nintendo Gameboy + Circuit bent NAVA = ❤️ This patch brings together so many things we love: our original UGB Nintendo Gameboy running 8bit bleeps with nanoloop, our circuit bent elicktronic NAVA TR909 clone and the insane bag of tricknology that is This is Not Rocket Science's Fenix IV modular synth in-a-box! The NAVA is an exact copy of the famous Roland TR909 circuits, hacked by us with 34 mods to vastly expand the sonic palette of the instrument, and processed through our Eurorack using the serge wave multiplier on kick and the cre8audio chipz on claps for more oomph. The bassline is the lovely FM mode of the TINRS Fenix' digital oscillator, run through the stereo digital filter (honestly the best I've ever heard - Stijn, Lauri, you need to make this a module) and modulated with the wobbler complex LFO. The nintendo Gameboy is clocking the Fenix sequencer, processed through two VCAs and then mangled through the Fenix' stereo delay - a lot of the lovely pitch sweeps and groovy sixteenth note runs spring into existence in this awesome submodule. Finally, big thank you klanggenerator for selling us the NAVA case! We had to drill some extra holes in it :)"

Dreadbox Chromatic modules meet the Nifty Bundle

Published on Apr 27, 2020 Patchwerks Seattle

"In this video Matthew Piecora (aka EZBOT) takes the new Dreadbox Chromatic modules for a spin with the wonderfully fun and affordable Nifty Bundle. The sequencer and touch plate is Cells by Cre8audio. Using Cells you can control up to 2 voices either by hand or by feeding CV into the 2 axis inputs.

Looking to get into modular? Check this link out: https://patchwerks.com/collections/bu...

Hysteria - Performance VCO with continuously variable waveshape and built-in quantizer

Eudemonia - Resonant lowpass and highpass filter with built-in VCA and CV mixer

Nostalgia - Triple-stage multitap delay with LFO

Ataxia - Dual modulator with ADSR envelope mode and LFO mode and CV control over timing

Dystopia - Analog-style and digital-style noise source with bit crushing and random gate generation

Utopia - CV manipulation tool with access to offset voltages, 4X attenuverters, CV mixer, and "Pulserizer"

Cellz - Cellz is a dual unipolar control voltage generator and that each of the 16 touch sensitive pads can be “fed” two 12bit values (semi-tone quantized or free scale), ranging from 0V to 10V.

Chipz - "Do you speak bleep blop? Well if you do you’ll love Chipz. Its full of it. Heaping piles of beeps, blops, and probably some other stuff too. It’s got a couple voices and some wacky LFO junk, perfect for getting your body wobbling."

Friday Fun - Nifty Case Modular Synth Jam

Published on Nov 1, 2019 sonicstate

"This time, we got hold of one of the new Cre8audio Nifty Case Bundle. Its an 85HP Eurorack case with up to 2.5A of power, a built-in 2 channel USB/MIDI interface, audio output. You also get a couple of modules - Chipz, a digital chiptune style sound source with two multi-wave oscillators - 1 has a filter, 2 has a width control, and a dual output LFO. Cellz - an interesting sequencing module with a 16 pad offset grid - it has two sequencers, and two directions of travel.

I filled the rest of the space up with the Fullsome Clouds, Pittsburgh Oscillator (not used here), Pittsburgh Mixer/Attenuator and the Doepfer A-111-5 Mini Synth voice. Hooked up via MIDI to the Arturia Keystep.

The Nifty Case Bundle is available now ($259) from Cre8audio.com"
