OP-Z Ambient soundscape #2 Winter calmness
Johan Wave
"OP-Z Ambient soundscape #2 Winter calmness. Op-z is sequencing Labs, by Spitfire audio via midi. The sound is called lap steel resonance. I use a few chords and the random effect on some steps to create this soundscape. Sequence programmed on the chord track. Piano played randomly afterwards in Logic (on my computer keyboard). Effects: Internal reverb and Valhalla delay. Hope you like this."

Generative Modular Beats in Pure Data
Published on Nov 14, 2019 Fahmi M.
"Generative modular beats made with Automatonism patch in Pure Data.
You can download another sounds of that patch, here:
https://ideologikal.bandcamp.com/albu...
* Modular synthesis is akin to musical gardening: modules can spring to life and their interconnections suggest the formation of a sonic ecosystem. The act of patching is no different to playing any other instrument: it affords the opportunity to express oneself and directly engage with other people.
Automatonism is the name of both the modular synthesiser in Pure Data and the creative output of its developer, Johan Eriksson. A PhD student at Birmingham Conservatoire, UK, Eriksson works at the intersection of composition, performance and instrument design.
His research explores new ways of making music with modular synths by highlighting the partnership between human and the automaton.
His first modular project, Xodular, arrived during a new wave of interest in modular synthesis and gained notable popularity for a freeware instrument.
Automatonism builds on Xodular, adding more modules and features for greater performability and expressiveness, while also encouraging players to delve into the making of generative algorithms.
Pure Data is a visual programming language developed by Miller Puckette in the 1990s for creating interactive computer music and multimedia works."

NuEVI Feels Like - by Nyle Steiner and Mark Steiner
Published on Aug 5, 2018 Mark Steiner
"How does it feel to play the NuEVI?
For wait list and info, email: TheNuEVI@gmail.com.
NuEVI created by Johan Berglund of Berglund Instruments in Sweden.
EVI invented by Nyle Steiner.
Save the EVI movement successfully realized and driven by Steve Anderson.
Jason, my 12 year old son asked why we were doing such a strange thing in this video. I told him it was just a stunt. He said, quite seriously, "that's really not a stunt, Dad, that's just screwing around."
A little bit distorted by youtube compression, but not as badly as often can be for an isolated saw wave sound. Doing this video I did tests and learned that their compression doesn't distort a pulse width modulated square wave. And that both are far less distorted if you pan them at about 6% (or more but I did 6%) away from center. So happy find. Thank you for listening!
Setup: NuEVI midi to CV.OCD converter to Doepfer Slew on breath, controlling a Manhatten Analog - Nyle Steiner Synthesystem Filter, which is filtering a Pittsburgh Modular VCO, which goes through Valhalla Hall reverb. A journey of human to digital to analog through digital... all used to strengthen each other."

"Using a synthesizer Arduino shield from Critter and Guitari (http://www.critterandguitari.com/), I constructed this enclosure so I could use this unique keyboard on my upcoming tour."
PocketPiano shield for the arduino and NastyBass sketch
Uploaded on May 28, 2008 Johan Larsby·85 videos
"A PocketPiano from http://www.critterandguitari.com/
and one Arduino. The first one soldered together from the kit I got it in then it's connected to the Arduino which is loaded with a small program I wrote. The program is creates a square pulse whose pulsewidth can be modulated by one of the knobs. Another of the knobs are controlling the very simple glide algorithm.
Much fun to be had!
http://www.larsby.com/johan/?p=542 to download the sketch"
Note the following auction does not mention Critter & Guitari, but the Pocket Piano kit below takes you to a page with the second video above. I discovered the top video searching for more info. I'm curious how this compares to the final released and enclosed Critter & Guitari Pocket Piano we are all familiar with. Note the number of button keys are different.

The Arduino Pocket Piano got a mention back in May of 2008.
"This is the original Pocket Piano Kit fully assembled. This is an open source stand alone synthesizer, that you program with the Arduino software That can be obtained here..."
Here is more info:
Pocket Piano kit – This is a board for making the Arduino into a portable stand alone music synthesizer. It plugs directly into the Arduino board and provides 25 multiplexed keys (2 full octaves), 4 pots, status LED, reset switch, digital to analog converter IC, and a RCA audio jack. The Arduino board with its powerful AVR processor is more than adequate for a wide range of sound synthesis techniques. We have experimented with simple additive / wave-table synthesis, frequency modulation, ring modulation, sampling, polyphony, various arpeggiators. The whole thing can be powered over the Arduino’s USB port for convenient experimenting. Arduino Diecimila is included. The board is designed to mount easily to 1/8″ panel material, and 1/2″ round keys can be made out of wood or plastic. Features include -
· 25 keys and multiplexer circuitry
· 4 potentiometers, 1 controls output level
· Microchip MCP4921 12 bit SPI DAC
· Passive low pass output filter"
