New Syntaur CVP-100 Control Voltage Pedal

via Syntaur

"Similar to the classic Moog Model 1120 pedal, the Syntaur CVP-100 pedal is a control-voltage (CV) source for use with analog synthesizers. It generates a voltage, the level of which is controlled by the pedal, and by plugging the 1/4-inch phone plug into a CV input of a synthesizer, you can control filter sweeps, volume, pitch, etc. This sturdy pedal is a great expressive tool for use with your vintage synths!

Requires 9-volt battery (not included) or optional power adapter."

Although Syntaur has been featured on the site numerous times in the past for synth parts, I believe this is the first Syntaur branded product post. I created a new label for them starting with this post.

Synth-o-Mania Event this Sunday in Texas & New ARP Odyssey Sub-Osc Kit

via Syntaur:  "If you are in the Austin/San Antonio area, we are hosting the second annual Synth-o-Mania at Syntaur on Sunday, October 27. There will be a ton of really cool analog synths on hand, some swap-meet action, etc. I've gotten a pretty good number of RSVPs, so there should be a plethora of synth geeks to mix and mingle with.

One fun thing we will be showing off is our next product, an Arp Odyssey Sub-Oscillator kit. It adds square-wave sub-oscillators to each of the two VCO's, making for a really Xtra Large sound! We will be selling this in kit form, or as a mod that we install here.  More details on the event are here:  www.syntaur.com/mania.html

Much of the hoopla will be outside, so in the event of rain (or the likelihood of rain), we will reschedule."

Linn 9000 Replacement Power Supply from Syntaur

via Syntaur

"This brand new Syntaur product is a drop-in replacement for the Phihong power supply used in most Linn 9000s. Unlike the original, this new switching power supply allows input voltages from 90 to 240 VAC, meaning your Linn 9000 can simply be plugged straight into the mains power on any continent!
The kit requires removing the relay and display coil (red cylinder) from the original power supply bracket and attaching them to the new one; no soldering is required, and complete instructions are included."

Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 Rev 3 w/ Rev-1 Kit Installed SN 3585

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
Syntaur

"Syntaur's Sam Mims install the prototype of Analogue Renaissance's REV -1 into a Prophet 5. This amazing board replaces the CEM filter chips in a Rev 3 Prophet, and dials it back to the sound of the highly coveted Rev 2! Additionally, it adds two switches which allow the selection of either 4-pole or 2-pole filtering, and which add Q-Compensation, to make up for bass frequencies that are normally lost with high-resonance sounds. The sonic result is beastly! The REV -1 kit can be purchased here: https://syntaur.com/Items.php?Item=REV1"

via this auction

"Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 Rev 3.2, with MIDI and Analog Renaissance REV -1 Kit installed. This synth has been fully calibrated, and all key bushings have been replaced, to ensure years of playability. Aside from a small crack in the wooden right end panel (see photos), this unit is in excellent physical condition.

The REV -1 kit from Analogue Renaissance turns a Prophet 5 Rev 3 synthesizer (CEM filter chips) back to the sound of the highly-coveted Rev 2 (SSM filter chips). It also adds a 2-pole/4-pole selector switch for the filter, and a 3-position 'Q Compensation' switch to add back in low frequencies that are typically lost with high resonance sounds."

Synthomania 2019 Synth Event Set for New Braunfels, Texas October 26

via Synthomania

"Synthomania is a synthesizer exhibition and swap meet hosted by Syntaur. We’re putting dozens of rare vintage synths on display, and you get to spend quality time with them. If you can't bear the thought of going home without a certain keyboard, don't worry, most of the synths on display will be for sale. (And we accept PayPal and all major credit cards.)

For Synthomania 2019, we're also putting live music in the backyard of Syntaur headquarters. You'll have great synth jams scoring your Syntaur hangout, and when there's no booked musician playing, if you're feeling up to it, you can step up for a jam session. It’s a family-friendly environment, so bring along the spouse and kids.

With some fantastic door prizes - like a set of four Korg Volcas! - you may just be going home with a new treasure. But aside from just the gear, Synthomania is also a great place to hang out with synth fans! With so many enthusiastic players in front of so many amazing keyboards, you'll never run out of things to talk about."

Curious if the new Sound Semiconductor SSI2140 can be swapped in as well. Note the Analogue Renaissance's REV -1 is a different chip.
