IK Multimedia Uno Synth Pro X Unboxing + Demo | No Talking |

video upload by DKS SYNTH LAB

"From Classic to Brand-new Sounds
Inside UNO Synth PRO X, users will discover a unique analog sound engine that they can sculpt to be anything they desire. With a fresh layout, the new UNO Synth PRO X gives players immediate control over its dual-filter, 3-oscillator paraphonic design, 256 presets, 64-step sequencer and much more.

To add more color to the sound, there’s a warm and organic true-analog overdrive, plus 10 studio-quality effects (including a new shimmer reverb and uni-vibe-like modulations) in three simultaneous slots: modulation, delay and reverb.
External signals can be routed through the filters and the effects in addition to UNO’s original thru-put for daisy-chaining multiple units together without using a mixer.

More Ways to Play and Perform
UNO Synth PRO X offers a 64-step paraphonic sequencer with parameter automation including CV and Gate. It has step and real-time recording with a sequence randomizer (following the scale selected) to create intricate and evolving soundscapes. UNO Synth PRO X also features a 10- mode arpeggiator with pattern designer.

In addition to legato, mono and paraphonic modes, users will find a new Bassline mode which modifies the behavior and interaction between core parts of the synth like the filter and envelopes in exciting and inspiring ways.

Comprehensive, Easy-to-use Controls
UNO Synth PRO X offers the simplicity and familiarity of classic synths with added modern control elements. It provides over 30 hands-on controls plus a 16-slot modulation matrix. Users can easily design the most sophisticated modulation scheme with both internal and external sources including MIDI controllers.

UNO Synth PRO X stores 256 user-editable presets, each capturing the full state of the sound en- gine from oscillators to effects. Presets can be further managed with the included Editor/Librarian. The Editor works as both a standalone application and as a plug-in inside a DAW allowing users to program and play the UNO Synth PRO X just like a virtual instrument.

Connectivity includes USB-C and 5-pin DIN MIDI In and Out making it easy to integrate with other synths and Mac/PC, while assignable CV/Gate connections let UNO Synth PRO X interact effortlessly with Eurorack or other modular systems.

The Sonic Sidekick
Compact and weighing less than a kilo, UNO Synth PRO X is the ideal traveling companion. It can be powered via USB-C and includes a standard power supply unit with barrel for the power-in jack. It has a dedicated 1/8′′ stereo headphone out as well as balanced stereo outputs for superior audio quality in any situation, whether on a plane or on stage.

No other synth in such a portable format places this amount of sound design tools at one’s fingertips. UNO Synth PRO X truly frees users to create the sounds they seek, whether emulating classic analog synths or shaping new unique sounds all their own."

SEQUENTIAL SIX-TRAK (1984) with OS UPDATE V 14 | CUSTOM PATCHES | No Talking

video upload by AnalogAudio1

"This video shows the capabilities of the SCI Six-Trak equipped with the latest firmware version 14. The best part is the programmable amount of oscillator detuning in UNISON mode, which can be stored in a patch. This gives much greater control and makes the Six-Trak even greater for big, monophonic sounds. The Six-Trak has a much rawer basic tone than today's analog synths. Raw analog power at its best. It's a kind of differently configured SCI Prophet-600.
_____________________________________________________________________

THE PATCHES IN THIS VIDEO:

There are 100 patches, they will load to 00-99 in the RAM memory on your Six-Trak. As always I aim to create great playable sounds easily translatable to your own Productions or for Live use. I have created basses, arps, leads, pads and my usual styled analog keys too. I hope you enjoy these sounds as much as I enjoyed creating them!

You will receive all the sounds from my video plus extra sounds that are not shown in the video, 100 patches in total. The soundset comes as a sysex file with a patch list and loading instructions (PDF).

Six-Trak OS UPDATE V 14: This sound pack has been specifically programmed to take advantage of the latest firmware version 14. This is a chip that you can buy online and easily install in your Six-Trak (drop in replacement). If your Six-Trak version is lower than 14, the unison sounds will sound slightly different.

The "SIX-TRAK V14 Soundset" soundset costs 20 Euros, payment is via PayPal. To purchase it, send a message to:

analogaudio1@gmx.net

IMPORTANT: NOW KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR SPAM/JUNK FOLDER! I answer within 12 hours. After payment you will get the patches (including a patch list and loading instructions, both as PDF) to your email address.

The patches are royalty free. Use them for your music as you prefer! Buying this soundset you purchase the right to use these sounds in your music, releases and gigs."

MYSTIC FREQUENCIES - TEISCO S60p Quick Demo - No Talking

video upload by Mystic Frequencies

"Just a quick demonstration of the Teisco S60p and most of its sounds,
The S60p is a truly great little synth for as simple as it is.
The music is completely made up, no shame for the bad notes lol. Enjoy!"

MYSTIC FREQUENCIES - VINTAGE SYNTH JAM - TEISCO S60P & YAMAHA RX5

video upload by Mystic Frequencies

"Made for the Vintage Synthesizers And Effects Facebook group members album. The idea was to make a song using only one vintage synth and one vintage drum machine, plus any effects were allowed as well as multitrack recording of the song so long as you only use the one vintage synth and drum machine. As the Admin of the group put it, "Back in the days when these synths were new or fairly new people didn't have but usually only one synth and had to push it to its limits to get the most from it" and as such put out the challenge among the group members. I decided to take it two steps further and do the ENTIRE song live without any multi tracking at all! All done in one continuous take including all 3 bad notes, using only a Monosynth and the song even includes a programmed by hand drum solo! No MIDI or controllers were connected, everything is done with only the one synth and drum machine. The Teisco S60P is a Preset only Monosynth with factory ARP aftertouch and has no external control such as MIDI / CV / GATE. The Yamaha RX5 is from 1985 and sounds so great when you put effort into programming it and its sounds. Here is a list of what the gear is setup and doing:

S60P - All melodies, lead lines and solos.
RX5 - All percussion, Bass and Guitar chords. (Factory Yamaha WRC02 Cartridge installed)
EFFECTS: Just a little reverb, nothing else."

d16 Group Introduces Lush 2

D16 Group Lush 2 VSTi ( MultiLayer Polyphonic Synthesizer ) #d16group #lush2 #vsti #vst
video upload by VST'S SOUNDS

D16 Group - Lush 2 (No Talking)

video upload by Elektronick Musick

via d16 Group

More than an 8-trick pony
Lush 2's multilayer architecture gives you access to virtually limitless sound design possibilities and a wide spectrum of applications.

Powerful, yet practical. An easy-to-tweak instrument that helps you find hit sounds in seconds, unleashing its and your maximum potential

Lush 2 isn’t based on just a single machine; it’s built from modules that can be found in many modern virtual synths, combined into one compact, logical layout. Don’t let its looks fool you: though it may look benign at first, its modular, multi-layer architecture takes it beyond simplistic poly-synths to the top shelf of extremely powerful, deeply programmable and devilishly versatile instruments in your arsenal. Suspiciously accurate sound is achieved only through experience: countless hours were spent analyzing classic analogue synthesizers, and then designing and implementing DSP algorithms with close attention to every component in the signal path - not just approximating its overall output. We deliver to you a synth built on oscillators of uncompromising quality, filters with an incredibly natural warmth and character, and best-in-class effects. On top of that, with all of the layers, multi-layer options, and routing capabilities the plugin offers - there’s no end to what you can do with just a single instance of Lush 2

Synthesizer
Lush 2 lets you reach “unheard of” levels of creativity - each layer works as an independent synthesizer with its own polyphony, parameters, enhanced arp, and a choice between 8 of the finest insert effects.

Modulation matrix
An entire page dedicated to assigning your modulation to nearly any parameter - pick a source, pick a destination, set an amount: creative modulation!

Mixer
Lush 2 also comes complete with a powerful built-in mixer, complete with layer-independent parametric equalizers and compressors that can be rearranged. Volume, pan and superb send effects allow you to put the finishing touches on the final output.

RS056 Casio FZ-1: Ferris' new synth

video upload by rejected synths

No talking demo video below.

"I’ve acquired my Casio FZ-1 quite a while ago and other than installing a floppy disk emulator, I hadn’t used it much before starting this video. Disks taking forever to load and the mostly mediocre patches I found online made me neglect this wonderful machine at first.

But from all the praise I read online and the very few videos that actually existed, I already knew that there had to be something special about the FZ-1. Countless hours later, I now understand that this sampler/synth really is a very capable machine that offered stuff in 1987 that must have been way ahead of it’s time back then. Not only is the, admittedly tiny by today’s standards, graphic display a great help when editing samples, Casio’s engineers really went out of their way to add as many features they could think of in terms of wave editing and creation. They even went as far as adding the possibility to expand the capabilities of the machine even further by additional tools that can be loaded as programs from a floppy disk.

The FZ-1 has unique analog filters, is 8 voice polyphonic and has 8 individual outs that can be assigned freely, filter cutoff can be midi controlled, it has a very nice low end and is built like a tank.

Yet nobody seems to care at all!

Yes it’s crazy how the fact that it says Casio on the back has kept this wonderful machine from receiving much praise at all, even second hand prices are FAR lower than those of comparable machines of the same era. It is said, that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. For me the FZ-1 has really turned out to be real gem :)"

Sequential Trigon 6 6-Voice Polyphonic Analogue Synth - No Talking, Just Playing!

video upload by PMTVUK

"Alex Godfrey from Sequential plays through the features of the awesome new Sequential Trigon 6 a 6-Voice Polyphonic Analogue Synth! Sequentials take on the classic 3-Oscillator plus ladder filter sound that really defined the dawn of the synth evolution.

Sequential are known for their redesign of analogue instruments incorporating them into their modern synths with impressive capabilities. The trigon 6 is no different! Featuring an enhanced version of the ladder filter, designed for their pro-3 model, plus those 3 Oscillators with triangle saw and pulse wave features. The possibilities with this synth are endless. With that switchable 2/4 pole resonant filter, with feedback and drive options, you have the potential to go from a bold and crunchy sound to silky and smooth with just the turn of a knob.

As you'd expect the trigon 6 has all the features of the beloved Prophet-6 and OB-6 synths - 6 voice polyphony, playability, easy to program, semi weighted keyboard with velcoity and after touch. But this one packs a punch with its unmistakable '3-oscillators through a ladder filter' sound.

Featuring 500 on board factory presets and 500 user presets to work through, the capabilities of this synth are endlessly impressive. Also present is the Trigon-6 Poly-mod feature with enhancements for sound design as well as the dual effects section including studio quality reverb, delays, chorus, flangers and phasers. Completely analogue stereo distortion and the incredible vintage knob which helps to add that old school vintage character to this modern and powerful synth!"

Feedback Modules MIX BX / MIX CR / MIX KM / eurorack mixer sound comparison

video upload by BRiES

"In this video I run different patches and sounds through these three mixers by Feedback Modules in an attempt to highlight the sound differences between them.

MIX BX, MIX CR and MIX KM have gain to spare and excel at saturating sounds, but they can do clean sounding mixes as well. The channel strips host an equaliser, a gain knob, two auxiliary mono sends (with stereo returns), a panning knob, clickless mutes and a volume control.

For a detailed overview of the features of the MIX BX (which has the same features as the other two mixers) you can take a look at this extensive playthrough video:"

Feedback modules MIX BX / eurorack mixer / extensive playthrough

"In this video I do a complete rundown of all the features this 6 channel eurorack mixer by Feedback Modules (a eurorack maker based in Romania) has to offer.

The MIX BX is perfect for making submixes for your drums or mix (and glue) together synths that benefit from some nice sounding saturation.

I demonstrate how to chain 2 channels to make hardstyle(?) kickdrums and how you can make use of the 2 aux sends to create a bus for parallel saturation.

At the end of the video there's a long 'no talking' segment where I systematically run through different sounds while tweaking the parameters... this might feel like an unnecessary boring part of the video but I really think getting to know what it sounds like is the most important thing... feature-wise the MIX BX is 'what you see is what you get' so there's not a lot of fancy tricks that you can pull of with it, apart from adding tons of character to anything you put through it.

correction: it is capable of amplifying line level signals to modular levels but there's no guarantee that the signal will stay clean

0:00 intro
0:31 hi
2:08 front panel features
12:55 distorted kickdrum trick
18:27 parallel saturation
24:13 no talk runthrough

I was thinking about what to type between 'MIX BX' and 'extensive playthrough' and the things that came to mind were '6 channels of bonkers', 'eurorack 90s grunge mixer', ... but none of that really serves the MIX BX justice. It does all the glue, grit and grime of the Boss BX era range of mixers, but the thing that stood out to me the most, compared to other eurorack mixers I've tried, is the amount of low end on this thing (what I would consider as 'warmth').

You can support my channel at http://ko-fi.com/BRiES - there's some exclusive content and downloads. This includes several patch breakdowns and some designs I made. There's also a seperate shop where I sell virtual instruments (ableton live) and sample packs. If you're interested in getting one on one feedback, guidance, in-depth explanations, etc please contact me at briesmodular at gmail dot com - I just started doing this 1 on 1 thing so it's still very much in its infancy. Send me a message if you're curious!

DISCLAIMER: Andrei from Feedback Modules sent me this mixer because I insisted that he should make some kind of demo to showcase the character (sound) of this mixer, since that's its main feature. I was genuinely interested in the MIX BX and I'm really happy I got the chance to make this video so everyone out there wondering about how it sounds can watch my video and at least get some idea about what it's capable of."

Reviewing ALL Arturia the Synths in ONE VIDEO as quickly as possible....well kinda lol

video upload by Noir Et Blanc Vie

"Subjective opinions within, those who do not understand subjective opinion may be excused lol
ALL music in this video is 100% Arturia Synths and Drum Machines performed by ME

#1: Nobody gave me money to make this video, I wanted to review a bunch of synths in one video and I worked to get my hands on as many as I could. I've extensively used every single synth in this video over many years, so I thought I could give my thoughts on them all as I've played every one (except the Origin, but can you hold that against me, honestly)

IF YOU WANTED A NO TALKING VIDEO, ONCE AGAIN GO AWAY HAHAHA jk"

RS055 RS Tech Support: EVS-1 Editor Setup Tutorial

video upload by rejected synths

See this post for an audio only demo.

0:00 Intro
0:14 Introduction
0:25 Wayback Machine
1:31 Atari editor running in Hatari/Linux
3:45 Win95 editor running in Windows 10
6:18 Outro

"The Evolution Systems EVS-1 is one of those machines slightly too far ahead of it’s time. Requiring a computer for convenient editing might be pretty common now, but back in 1990 it was a pretty new concept. So I guess many original users of the EVS-1 never actually used the editors and when the computer formats these editors relied on became obsolete, the EVS-1 was doomed to become an obscurity.

But today, through the wonders of emulation (and the surprisingly vast capacity of windows backwards compatibility) it’s quite easy to expirience and explore the EVS-1 the way it was meant to be used.

In this tutorial I will show you how to set up the editors for Atari (via emulation on Linux) and Windows 95 (inside Windows 10 through some fiddling), all you need is explained in the video, links to all files can be found below, as well as all the commands mentioned in the video (for convenient copy+paste).

First the links:

The editors, as well as some outstanding patches can be downloaded as zip files from deepsonic.ch (scroll all the way down):

https://www.deepsonic.ch/deep/htm/evo...

The patch banks linked on the ancient Evolution site can be found here:

https://www.file-upload.net/download-...

An Atari ST disk image containing the editor can be downloaded here:

https://www.file-upload.net/download-...

Now about the commands you have to enter to install hatari on linux, to install snap support (if needed) enter these commands into a terminal:

sudo apt update

followed by

sudo apt install snapd

to install hatari enter

sudo snap install hatari-emulator

Now for the Windows 10 part, Installation.txt tells you to copy the file MSSTDFMT.DLL to the root directory c:\, you can find MSSTDFMT.DLL inside the Install folder.

Next you’ll have to bring up the command line prompt, this can easily be done by typing cmd into the windows search bar. Instead of just running the command line prompt, right click the symbol and select run as administrator. If you’ve done so, you can follow the next step from installation.txt and type

regsvr32 C:\MSSTDFMT.DLL

and press enter. This will register the dll file and make it executable

And now for the tricky part: the other file mentioned in installation.txt is called comdlg32.ocx an trying to register the file in the same way as MSSTDFMT.DLL will result in an error message because it’s a 32 bit ocx file and therefore needs to be registered in a special way. So unlike mentioned in installation.txt, copy the file into the c:\winodws\sysWOW64\ directory and type

%SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx

I hope this works for you the way it has form me. If you run into communication errors, restart both the editors AND the EVS-1, sometimes it took me some tries with both editors but in the end it ususally ended up working just fine."

WHAT'S NEW:

_New looks for your setup
New graphical interface: Easier to navigate than ever,
Play Mode: Enjoy a simplified overview of your entire sound, with stripped-back modules and hands-on macros.
Light Mode: Opt for a less nocturnal vibe and enjoy a sleek off-white redesign.

_The best sound design workflow yet
Quick modulation editing: you can now simply click and drag your modulation source to its destination, and quickly adjust its depth by hovering over the parameter.
Quicker feature navigation: Flick between options in an instant for any of Pigments’ multimode modules with added left-right buttons.
LFO presets: Pigments’ LFOs now come with 6 familiar waveform presets, from sine to random.
FX & Seq bypass: You can now quickly bypass both the FX and Seq sections from the Synth and Play Mode views.
New sync modes: Create dynamic rhythmic ideas by blurring the lines between straight, triplet, and dotted sync within Pigments’ modulators.
MTS-ESP microtuning compatibility: Pigments is now compatible with ODDSound’s microtuning software MTS-ESP, designed in conjunction with Aphex Twin.

_Enhanced engines
Wavetable engine: Sprinkle some warbling tremolo movement and metallic character by swapping frequency modulation for the new Ring Mod feature, and harness a new Pulse Width mode for the Phase Transformation section
Harmonic engine: Uncover new harmonic territory and pitch alterations
More Unison options: The Unison control is now uniform across all engines, with the addition of a Unison Phase control for Wavetable, Sample, and Harmonic voices.
Modulator Oscillator: Go deeper into the dedicated Mod Osc with Ratio options and an extended hertz range from 0.100 to 20,000.

_New effects & filters
MS-20 Filter: Unleash deeper bass than ever and crank the grit with the notorious screaming response of the classic MS-20 filter, with HP6 and LP12 modes.
Shimmer Reverb: Inject cathedral-in-outer-space ambience and cinematic detail into any sound with the Shimmer Reverb effect, complete with 2 octaves of pitch-shift and built-in modulation.
Super Unison: Mimic ultra-wide ensemble timbres with a single voice using Super Unison, a swaying chorus-like effect that detunes, spreads, and enlivens any sound.
Effects & filter improvements: Pigments’ Bitcrusher has doubled in size with Jitter, Scale, and extra Downsampling options, the Jup-8 V filter now has FM control, and both the Multi Filter & Distortion algorithms feature a Notch Filter mode.

_Fresh sound exploration
New factory presets: A distilled selection of the hardest basses, leads, pads, and percussive sounds for modern production, from ambient to drill to soundtrack composition.
63 new wavetables: Navigate a massive array of crushed filtered sounds, monstrous peaks, resonant vowel-like sweeps, and more.
67 new samples: From rattling 808 bass to hang drum resonance to sustained vocals, enjoy 67 new sounds for the Sample & Granular engine.
36 new noise types: Expanding Pigments’ Utility Engine Noise modules, this fresh selection includes smooth impulses, nature sounds, industrial tools, and more.
