"A look at how close the Prophet 6 is to the Pro-1 demonstrating the sonic similarities and differences between Behringer's Pro-1 and the Pioneer DJ Toraiz AS-1 synth, which is effectively a single voice of the Prophet 6.

It's not a comprehensive comparison .. I've not played with the High Pass or FX or demo'd the additional capabilities of the P6 and Toriaz. This video is purely just to see if they share sonic fingerprints with the Pro-1.

The smooth and spectacular transition from a sound (patch) to another, is improving a lot the expressiveness of sequencer's melody.

The sequencer itself is top notch: 16 parameters that can be step sequenced, resulting in a #sequence that is similar to a modular system.

The patches you hear are from the upcoming set of ambient patches for #SequentialPRO3.

A little bit of EQ on the low end (the filter is not closing enough, even with some DC setting), but all the effects are internal.

"Demo of the Synth Controller Edition "AS1" for the Pioneer Toraiz AS-1. Finally you have quick realtime access to all parameters of synth engine, arpeggiator and FX section. The demo shows editing on all three color layers (red: Oscillators, green: Filter & Envelopes, blue: LFO and FX) with and without background rhythms. Most probably this video only makes sense if you are already familiar with the AS-1 and want to see the concept and behaviour of the Controller. The AS-1 behaves very well when being edited remotely, no hanging notes, no lags, only Chorus rate causes some jittering. The Novation PEAK adds a bit of sensation with an FX patch (from the next sound bank I'm preparing).
Each one of the synths runs the sequences on their internal clock, with no MIDI connectivity between them or having a master clock.

Plonk uses a technique known as physical modelling to synthesize.
