50 Custom Patches for Moog Grandmother: Bass, Lead, Arp, Pad/Drone, Chords. Sound Demo, No Talking

video upload by Anton Anru

"«Analog Classics» is a collection of 50 patches: 16 Leads, 13 Basses, 13 Arps, 5 Drones, 3 Chords.
It includes famous sounds that are found in many electronic tracks, from vintage to modern, musical solo-timbres and basses that will fit in any instrumental track or performance, like jazz, funk, rock, pop, indie, etc.., and some experimental patches that will add uniqueness to your music - everything vintage synths are loved for plus new possibilities and sound character introduced by Grandmother.

🔊 Get the soundset: https://bit.ly/3x756yg

The soundset is presented in the form of PDF-Document. Each page contains notes that explain how the patch works, what parameters worth tweaking during the playback, how to develop the timbre during a performance. If you make all the settings consciously and try the things mentioned in the notes, you will learn lots of things about the synth and discover its true depth.
Each patch has an audio example, it helps to understand how a patch is supposed to sound.

To recreate these patches you need up 8 patch cords.
You should also install firmware v1.1.3 or higher to have access to all settings used in this soundset.

Big thanks to Dmitry Chemyrev for his great lead and bass presets performance.

korg Z1 virtual analog synthesizer sounds

Published on Oct 23, 2014 bulishearth

"korg Z1 virtual analog synthesizer sounds..........bulis hearth

The Korg Z1 is a physical modelling sound synthesiser released in 1997. Touted as a polyphonic Prophecy, the Z1 implements 13 synthesis types, all derived from the original OASYS synthesizer

1 Standard Oscillator
2 Comb Filter
3 VPM (Variable Phase Modulation)
4 Ring Modulation
5 Cross Modulation
6 Oscillator Sync
7 Organ Model
8 Resonance
9 Electric Piano Model
10 Brass Model
11 Reed/Wind Model
12 Plucked String Model
13 Bowed String Mode

The MOSS system, as implemented on the Z1, offered 13 different synthesis algorithms in the form of programmable oscillators. The various synthesis algorithms employed various synthesis techniques such as physical modeling synthesis, analog modeling synthesis, and Korg's own VPM synthesis. Some of the various synthesis algorithms can be combined together to create a vast range of sound.

Standard Oscillator
A standard virtual analog oscillator, this oscillator generates the standard waveforms typically used by an analog synthesizer such as sawtooth waveforms, pulse waveforms, and triangle waveforms. Wave shaping is available to add various harmonic characteristics to the generated sound.[4]

Bach: Sonata in A major, BWV 1015 - III. Andante un poco

YouTube Published on Apr 30, 2012 by ScrollingMusic

"Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750): Sonata No. 2 for violin and harpsichord in A major, BWV 1015 - III. Andante un poco.

This is the beautiful slow third movement of Bach's Sonata BWV 1015 for violin and harpsichord. The sonata is notable for its intricate canonic counterpoint. This movement, in particular, features a canon at the unison between the violin and harpsichord, offset by a bar, accompanied by a near-perpetually moving bass line. The canon has been visually represented by the scrolling red and green bars (red is the violin part; green is the echo at the unison by the harpsichord). The movement modulates to its dominant minor key before returning to its home tonality of F-sharp minor.

For this video, we synthesized the harpsichord part with our existing guitar and vibraphone sounds; we feature a new sound sampled from a recorder/ocarina for the violin part. The accompanying visualization consists of both a spectrogram and our usual scrolling bar visualization."

Lewellen: Frog Guitar iPhone App

YouTube via smortage
"Smort Co-founder Lewellen shares his perspectives on technology and shows the Frog Guitar.

Git yerself one of dem from the iTunes Store:
Frog Guitar

Smort homepage:

via Lewellen:
"I was getting a little tired of all of those tree-hugging musical apps for the iPhone like Pocket Guitar and Ocarina. Plus, who isn't tired of Tap-Tap-Tapping? Come on! I figured it was time for someone to step up and create something truly awesome- so I built a guitar out of Frogs.

It's very simple to use:
• pluck, strike, or strum the frogs
• stretch the frogs with the rope and pegs to change pitch
• ignore the flies -- they are just for decorations
- and be careful how you treat those frogs or things might get messy

You can actually play chords and stuff with multi-touch although the fingerings are inverted from a standard bass guitar. My home-made video shows you a basic song."

Donut vs Ocarina

YouTube Uploaded by TheStrangeAgency on Aug 19, 2011

"Donut™ lets you record loops in two dimensions.

You can use it like a phrase looper, by recording horizontally while using the step controls to step through vertical recording position. You can use it as a realtime processor by using ThruRecord mode. You can record and playback at completely differently speeds. You can even record backwards! You can record and playback diagonally across the Donut™ surface, creating glitchy staccato sounds. You can record and playback with multiple heads, recording or playing multiple positions at once. You can spread the heads vertically to access different portions of the Donut™, or you can spread them horizontally to create an echo effect.

Imagine two dimensional time!"

Alien Brain Pocket-Sized Analog Synthesizer

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction - learn how to sell on eBay here

"This is the Alien Brain, the pocket-sized 100% analogue synthesizer for covert operations in the field of electronic music! (until you switch it on and plug it in, then is screams, roars, rumbles and crackles and even lights up, just as you might expect an alien's brain to do when you put some electricity through it!)

Described as "The Ocarina From Hell" by a Reading Sound Engineer, It has three pulse-wave oscillators - each with a very wide frequency range from rhythmical clicking up to almost dog-whistle territory, a band-pass filter and a volume control
- all controlled by light-sensors. It is a loud, fun and very tactile little instrument, with a wide range of tones, textures and timbres available. It is powered by a 9v battery (included) and plugs in via 1/4 jack to any guitar/bass amp or PA, mixer, fx-pedals, computer etc. (It does not have an in-built speaker)

Each one is unique in appearance - as you can see in the photos, as I make each one individually. They are also very robust, and the first ones i made 7 years ago are still working fine today. Previous owners have used them in studio recordings and productions, performances, synthesis lectures, playing with their children, jamming with other musicians, testing sound-systems, and numerous other things. The one thing they depend on is a good bright light source, so you can have a lot of fun experimenting with flickering strip-lights (laser-like dive bomb sounds) strobe lights, candles, or just using your fingers to control how much light lands on each sensor."
