The final details on Soundmit 2017 are in. Soundmit is the evolution of the Torino Synth Meeting, the largest synth event in Italy. The following are some details on the scope of the event:

"THE NUMBERS

The first edition of the Soundmit - International Sound Summit, the natural evolution of the Torino Synth Meeting, which has proved to be up to expectations, involving more than 180 industry operators, 800 visitors, over 100 workshop participants and a soldout for the talk held by the 3 sponsoring Universities, ended on Novembre 5th 2017.

THE EXHIBITORS

With more than 90 Brands exposed and exhibitors from all over Europe and not only, we had the presence of Nori Ubukata from Japan and Keen Association from Moscow, Soundmit is confirmed as the only Italian event highly specialized in electronic music instruments. Fertile land for exchanging ideas and for the birth of new partnerships as well as new friendships.

Not exactly the first time for @VerbosElectronicsGmbH at @SOUNDMIT. In fact, we hosted them during the first of the two virtual editions during the pandemic period (I'll include the link in the video), but it's their first time physically present in Turin to introduce the new 'Real World Interface' module that allows connection with existing instruments and sound sources outside our Eurorack system.

They also introduced a new prototype (featuring @Arduino technology) of a touch interface, still in Eurorack format. They plan to release it to the world with an open-source philosophy.

Thanks to the success of the previous editions of TORINO SYNTH MEETING, we are collecting the memberships of many national and international exhibitors. SOUNDMIT is, with its specialization, the largest sector event in Southern Europe.

There are almost 40 brands that have joined the initiative, either directly or through Italian distributors, and many others are coming.

International Synthesizers and Electronic Musical Instruments Expo | Turin | 11-12 November 2023

11 and 12 November sees the thirteenth edition of the synthesizers and electronic instruments expo in Turin, an absolute industry reference

Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 November 2023 will see the new edition of the international exhibition of synthesizers, electronic musical instruments, and music technology Soundmit in Turin.

Having reached the milestone of its thirteenth edition, Soundmit in Turin returns for two days of live music, instrument expos, showcases, workshops, and masterclasses of the highest level with international guests. The venue of the event will be the Toolbox Co-working in Via Agostino da Montefeltro 2, already the location of the successful previous edition with over forty international brands on display, numerous talks by the event's partners, and no less than twenty-three concerts.

Soundmit is the Italian trade fair dedicated to synthesizers and new audio and music production technologies. Active from 2011 to 2016 under Torino Synth Meeting, 2017 it became Soundmit - International Sound Summit to expand the offer to the public and participating companies. It speaks the language of synthesizers, pro audio, DJ gear, effects and guitar effects, music production software, daw, plugins, and studio gear.

Over the years, Soundmit has boasted collaborations with major media in the sector and with Italian and foreign institutional partners such as the Italian Trade Agency, Politecnico di Torino, Politecnico di Milano, Università di Roma Tor Vergata, Dams of the University of Turin, Arduino (the new edition will be held at Arduino's headquarters in Turin), London School of Sound, Audio Developer Conference, SynthFest France, and many others. The highlight of the thirteenth edition will be the new partnership with the AES - Audio Engineering Society, which will run some specialized seminars.

Furthermore, Soundmit is a signatory to Keychange.eu. This European project aims to create a more inclusive music industry for present and future generations through a professional development program for underrepresented talent, a commitment to gender balance, and a manifesto to influence policy. BOBEATS COMING TO SOUNDMIT 2019

Supporting MATRIXSYNTH Member BoBeats will be coming to SOUNDMIT 2019, a major synth event of the year held in Turin, Italy, November 2nd & 3rd. The event is on the scale of the SUPERBOOTH, and Knobcon (set for this weekend). Think NAMM or the Musikmesse, but focused on synths.

Soundmit.off - SoundMit Spinoff Events

Today was a great day in Torino with the first Soundmit Spinoff "Soundmit.off - Torino Music Garage Sale" with the precious support of ARTURIA, ARTURIA USER GROUP TORINO and ARTURIA USER GROUPS. Attached are some pics of the event.

The next full SoundMit will be held on November 3/4 2018 in Torino, Italy.

SOUNDMIT 2021 - International Sound Summit Set for November 13th & 14th

"With an eye on the evolution of the pandemic situation, we begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel, slowly the events begin to be published, the festival billboards appear, the music returns with its concerts and we are ready to restart with our fair.

We know that it has been a very complex and difficult time for everyone and therefore we want our event to be, first of all, a nice party where you can meet friends and synthesizer enthusiasts again.

We are in constant contact with our government and with the institutional partners who will support us again this year to have a Soundmit in complete safety, full of contents and new instruments to see and try.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM SOUNDMIT 2021

With the experience we have gained in over 10 years of activity and especially with the 2020 edition that has upset the way of doing events, we are working parallel to a double event.

The physical event, the traditional one, with the fair, exhibitors, workshops and showcases.

The virtual event, full of contents, virtual booths and international guests.

Why do we work on 2 events?
We work on 2 events to be ready for any eventuality, even if we hope to see you all again here in Turin in November.

However, we think that it is now essential to have always a virtual part (before, during or after the physical event) to reach as much public as possible and thus facilitate companies in our sector.

In this way, the exhibiting companies will be reachable at the same time by the public present at the event and also by the virtual one spread all over the world (2020 data speak of over 13,000 visits to virtual booths in 2 days)


WHAT THE COMPANIES WHO WANT TO PARTICIPATE SHOULD DO

At this stage it is very important for us to know which companies intend to participate. COVID-19 will certainly bring restrictions and we need to know soon how many companies want to be at our show.

We have a location twice the size to meet any health requirements (distancing, precautions etc ..) and also to accommodate more exhibitors and more public but the space is limited so, at a certain point, we will have to say ‘NO’ to someone.

This is why it is important to immediately express the will to participate.
Obviously there is no constraint, at this moment we need only to quantify the number of possible exhibitors.
