Cat Stevens ~ Was Dog a Doughnut 1977 Disco Purrfection Version

video upload by DJDiscoCat

Cat Stevens goes electro. 1977

via Wikipedia: "# Cat Stevens - electric guitar, acoustic guitar, steel guitar, classical guitar, lead guitar, ovation guitar, epiphone casino, guitar synthesizer, bouzouki, keyboards, acoustic piano, piano, celesta, harpsichord, wurlitzer electric piano, fender rhodes, polymoog, moog synthesizer, minimoog, arp string synthesizer, electric harpsichord, yahama cs-80, sequencer, drums, percussion, harmonica, strings, brass, arrangements, vocals"

Update via Micke in the comments: "*CS-80* is a typo I think, it should read GX-1. The album was recorded in March '77 and that's a bit too early for the CS-80 unless they had access to the prototype or a pre-production unit."

iPhone Music Apps

YouTube via thehighams. via Palm Sounds
"This new video again explores the idea of composing music inside the timeline of Final Cut Pro, it features the following nine iPhone music apps - Melodica, Easy Guitar, NLog Synth Free, iRockGuitar Lite, Mobilesynth, Drum Kit Lite, Kalimba Free, Junglist Lite and the mighty Bebot.

It was shot on mini DV (canon XL1s) and was sliced up in FCP, there's a detailed walkthrough of the entire process up at the blog. The blog is at http://www.foilface.com and my twitter username is at the end of the video. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or suggestions for the next one!

There's a better quality version over at v i m e o where you can also download a HD 60fps Quicktime version.

Be sure to swing by www.foilface.com for more random creative wibblings, we've got a lot going on over there currently!

Thanks for reading and watching

Paul"

Folktek Time Scape Sequencer by Arius Blaze

YouTube via benpumpkin
"First, thank you for the support of FOLKTEK and be sure to check our blog where you can keep up with our doings if you feel: folktek.blogspot.com...New work by Arius Blaze. This piece allows for thousands of methods of automated sample fuqwithing. Everything from sample stutters, granulation, modulation and bursts of noise etc. Of course it also doubles as a very sweet dub style echo. The range is insane and could not be captured proper in our short videos. In the videos, for the most part, the patches are set according to what I had been playing with prior. The keys are patchable and each part of the sequence is patchable. Time range is from .005 to about 5.5 sec with a noticably lower quality toward about the 3.5 sec mark. This work is expensive but it is also available. More photos and more info on the bloog and the site"

Origin Round 2 on cl516

"Arturia Origin again. Just wanted to continue from the previous post, and put up some cleaner sounding demos. Less analog emulation here - reduced the voice detune, and reduced the TAE engine parameter. The point of these two posts is just to hear the basic tone of the machine. Here are a few unrelated points I'd like to add."

Admin: Winning Bids

Just a heads up, selectivepressure is posting the winning bids for old auction posts in the comments as he has time. If you search for "this auction" on the top left and scroll down to older posts, you will see some. He's been a bit more active on MATRIXSYNTH-B, so be sure to check there as well. The B site is auction only, so obviously you don't need to search on "this auction" however you can search on specific gear if you are curious. Also, if the winning bid is not in the comments, you can try clicking on the auction link to see if it is still up. When you click on an auction link and it states it has ended, just scroll down on that page to see the winning bid. Unfortunately Ebay does remove listings all together in time. BTW, feel free to send in your auction listings if you like. The best pics and rare items go up here, everything else goes up on MATRIXSYNTH-B.
