Pachelbels-theremin

Pachelbels-theremin by rh2y
"Hmm, I'm almost afraid to post this, as people will be showing up at my door with torches and pitchforks once they play it. Here's a good example of why you should not turn on your multitracker late at night after becoming punchy.

Three track theremin performance by me. Probably good for scaring cats away."

CR78 - The Machine. Delivering Drum Machines In A Whole New LIght.

via Zenhiser
"As you know by now, we are big fans of the 80s and thought of how we could supply a drum machine series that was a little different from the rest, and this is how it panned out. "CR78 - The Machine" has all the CR78 drum sounds you'll need, recorded perfectly from the original machine and supplied in both flat and outboard tweaked versions. We've used the best vintage and digital software / hardware to polish the drum sounds and show them in their light for today's use but included the originals as well to supply that authentic classic Roland CR78 sound.

On top of that why have a sample pack that just supplies the drum sounds, what about the beats! Well "CR78 - The Machine" also delivers two very different collections of drum beats, "The Classic Folder" delivering the essential drum beats that the CR78 are so famously known for, and "The Modern Folder", a perfect collection of today's beats created solely using the CR78 drum sounds and supplied with multiple takes including with kick, without kick and stripped own versions. All the classic and modern drum beats also include bpm information within the file name for fast use."

Livid Block Midi Controller for Ableton Traktor etc

via this auction

"ivid describe the Block as "...a compact and programmable MIDI control surface designed for interactive audio performance... providing a powerful interface for creating and interacting with sound in a small easy-to-transport body. Backlight LED buttons provide endless possibilities for visual feedback with presets and template available for Ableton Live, Propellerhead's Reason and Record, Traktor Pro, Max/MSP, ArKaos' Grand VJ, and Cell DNA. A growing number of open source applications and utilities turns the block into the ultimate adaptable and portable control surface."

Not only that, but it's easy to use it as a Monome-style interface by using the Monome bridge software, or use a stack of native apps for it provided by Livid - see http://bit.ly/mYoXgJ

Don't assume it's only useful in sound production - you can use it to launch video clips, run lighting rigs or even a combo of all of these at the same time.

Blocks are HAND-CRAFTED in Texas by Livid - have a look at http://bit.ly/nnRVpx for more details and some great videos of it in action!"

"The timeFrog II is a powerful and flexible MIDI device dedicated to music computer and MIDI applications.

The spin/inertial sensor provides a totally new kind of control surface, which opens new way for playing with parameters.

The 8 endless encoders, 4 potentiometers and 6 buttons form a functional and compact.

There is also a embedded 4 steps sequencer: 4x4 steps x 6 voices

Here the timeFrog just send notes to 9 virtual synth in Ableton Live. Mixing is controlled by a simple Korg Nanokontrol."

Sync-Gen II Twin MacBook Sync.mp4

"Two MacBooks both running Ableton Live 8.2.2. Master MacBook running Sync-Gen II driving the Sync-Lock. Precision Midi Clock from Sync-Lock feeds Midi Input on Slave MacBook Soundcard. Sync-Gen II sets overall tempo-sync offset in samples to compensate for start-lag and slave soundcard latency. As the Midi Clock feeding the slave MacBook is sample accurate with zero jitter and does not compete with any other Midi Data traffic - the sync between master and slave computers is very stable and the offset is fixed. No editing, warping or time correcting of samples - all sounds are stock off the Ableton Live Demo install. No track delay, driver compensation or effects used. A pair of outputs from each MacBook recorded directly as a stereo pair into SoundForge 9."

Live Techno Series #7 [Electribe ER-1, MC-909, Virus TI, Waldorf Blofeld]

YouTube Uploaded by siedgey on Jul 28, 2011

"Thanks for watching! The time has come again to add to the ever increasing number of videos in my Live Techno Series collection. For those who don't know, this is all about producing techno using hardware.

This time around I have made a dark, loopy techno track. Setup-wise, my new Electribe ER-1 is the master clock, sending MIDI to the 909, which passes it on to the Virus. The Blofeld isn't using MIDI, it's just playing some sustained notes through the audio in on the ER-1 which is ring modulating them against a kick drum, producing a nice tweakable noise (you can hear it best at the end of the track).

The ER-1 is playing the kick drum, clap and a couple of hi hats as well, the Virus is providing the synth parts and the 909 is playing a few extra percussion parts.

As always, your comments are greatly appreciated. If you have any questions then let me know and I'll be happy to answer them!

Thanks again,

Simon"
