Logic Gate Trigger Processing via 1960s DEC Computer Lab

Logic Gate Trigger Processing by I Dream Of Wires
"Demo by Robert Fantinatto (/RUN): Gate signals from two different clock sources processed through a DEC Computer Lab Logic Trainer from the late 1960's, utilizing a series of flip/flop and Boolean logic gates to trigger envelopes on a Dotcom modular synth."

HackMe Electronics Sprockit Mini-Synth

via HackMe Electronisc

"Rockit’s getting a little brother, Sprockit. My goal with Sprockit it to take a lot of Rockit goodness and compress it down to something smaller and a bit cheaper. I’m achieving both goals by having a very dense design and by reducing some of the features...

Sprockit will be fully open source just like Rockit.

Two oscillators – Just like Rockit, except there’s only one knob. I have initially made 32 oscillator settings which chooses both oscillator 1 and 2 and the oscillator mix at the same time. Oscillator 2 still has a detune knob.

4-pole Analog Low Pass Filter – Instead of Rockit’s three-mode filter, I’ve given Sprockit a 4-pole Low Pass only filter. I’m experimenting with automatic gain control, but I’m making no promises and there are some reasons not to have it. Filter envelope control is accessible externally. There is no external audio input like Rockit.

1 LFO with 3 waveshapes and 3 destinations, with more shapes and destinations accessible externally.

ADSR envelope with Attack and Decay control on board and everything else externally accessible

MIDI Input – No MIDI output."

1973 DIY Modular Juan Bermudez Costa & Befaco

via Befaco where you'll find the post in Spanish. The following is a translation via Google (what's that about a tube of female sheep? paridas = ewes = female sheep?):

"This year we are again with a tremendous impetus. Our participation in Hangar Sound has crystallized in the transfer indefinitely its own space, a place for workshops and designing a tube all types of ewes.

In addition to our standard modular workshops (in Barcelona and Madrid), which also function as open days on topics of DIY advice sound, offer an advanced course in analog synthesis imparted by the very Juan Bermudez Costa (pictured, 1973!) , introduction to electronic noise (construction of a Mini-Theremin or analog touch micro battery), and construction of a monstrous unit of 'chorus' seventies style and 100% 'Made in Spain'.

All information in our section of workshops. We wait!"

If anyone has a better translation of paridas, let me know.

Rheyne - 1/1/12 - Live Jam #30 (Fender Rhodes, Moog Prodigy, and Lemur)

YouTube Uploaded by RheyneMusic on Jan 1, 2012

"Improv jam with a Fender Rhodes and Moog Prodigy, along with Lemur on an iPad 2 and iPhone 4 wirelessly connected to Ableton Live. Lemur on the iPad 2 is triggering drums from NI's Kontakt, along with filters and effects from Ableton Live. The iPhone 4 is controlling Ableton's reverb and delay on the Rhodes and Prodigy. The Akai APC20 is controlling the recording and playback of loops in Ableton. The Rhodes is running through an MXR Wylde Overdrive. All loops are recorded live. MIDI input from Lemur is quantized. The audio interface is a PreSonus AudioBox 1818VSL, connected to a Macbook Pro. Video shot with a Zoom Q3HD, and audio was captured through its line input from the mixer."

New for 2012...Modular experiments & Pez.

YouTube Uploaded by RothHandle on Jan 1, 2012

"A first little video greeting for 2012...Modular synths and Pez...kind of chunky looking and beardy...possibly a glass or two of yesterdays champagne still in orbit in my blood.

Anyways...2012. A fresh year without any of the bad stuiff from 2011...maybe even a Necromonkey release, a Akaba album, A Änglagård album or even a Nanook of the North album...A Molesome album as in my own stuff ? Norwegian collaborations ? Bring it on !!!"

ARP 2600 auto-sequence

YouTube Uploaded by equinoxoz on Jan 1, 2012

"ARP2600 no sequencer, few patches to use the electronic switch and try to patch it in stereo...I tried to make a separate snare by inverting the ADSR and using the VCA as a stand alone...
the 2600 is definitly well conceived..."

That What Remains (Instrumental Eigenharp Alpha)

YouTube Uploaded by gbevin on Jan 1, 2012

"This is an original composition on the Eigenharp Alpha using only the U-he Diva virtual analog synth.

Many thoughts of what remains after people have left this earth.
