sixtrak vs. mopho

YouTube Published on Jun 15, 2012 by condit79

"attack of the dave smith synthesizers. Plus a little electribe ER-1 drum sounds. All running to my mixer, and a touch of my new favorite delay, the strymon brigadier. It adds a bit of warbly modulation to the delays.

This is all pretty thin and buzzy on the six trak as I was trying to really play the 4 pole filter. I hadn't really seen any videos of people pushing a six trak to the limits of possibilities and so i made this. The arpeggiator is all DSI mopho with the cleaner tone. Even with the single knob editing on the six trak, it's pretty easy to tweak tones as you go. It's like the good ol days before cell phones when you had to memorize phone numbers. Plus theres a chart right there if you forget what you're doing. For me, the tone that I'm getting out of this makes it worth it. I actually had a tetra and traded it for this and am not one bit sorry."

Trogotronic 333 vs Serge Creature

YouTube Published on Jun 15, 2012 by DJjondent

"This is primarily a test of the Trogotronic M Series 333 Eurorack module.
It's an envelope follower with an 9 "step" event sequencer.

An envelope follower takes an audio input and converts it into a control voltage.
This control voltage will rise and fall with the overall volume of the input signal.
The louder the input, the bigger the output of the envelope follower.

The trog works pretty well I think. I used the snazzy fx (Arduino based) ArdCore to supply the tune. The audio signals from the Ardcore weren't loud enough on their own to
trigger the 333 so I boosted the volume with a Circuit Abbey Gozinta

The setting for attack - uppermost right dial on the trog is pretty important to
get it to trigger well. If set too far clockwise the 333 may not respond.

Thanks to Matt from RhythmActive for the Trog 333, the ArdCore and the Gozinta

Don't miss the second video below.

"My little pmc with a hide mod, with the play button.
+

JD-990: Super JD Ringer - iControlMIDI for iPad Audio Demo

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

"We are using a 4 Tones Patch with Ring Modulation, but not using all Tones at the same time. Tone A is Wave 195: Loop 4, Tone B is Wave 10: Pulse Mod, Tone C is Wave 144: Syn Vox 2, Tone D is Wave 3: FAT Saw.

In the first part, only Tone B and D can be heard, then we are using iControlMIDI to fade-in Tone A TVA Level which makes the Ring Modulation effect kicks in.
In the second part, we are using iControlMIDI to fade-out Tone A TVA Level and Unmute Tone C.

In the third part, we are using iControlMIDI to change Tone C pitch one semitone at a time, creating a glissando effect.
In the fourth and last part, we are using iControlMIDI to fade-in and fade-out Tone A TVA Level.

There is a very short software delay, software chorus and a high-end hardware reverb."
