DAF-style crossover acid with Deluge, Moog Sub Phatty, MBase 11, 303 etc

Published on Mar 12, 2018 Shimanski Beats

"Trying out the new 1.4 firmware of the Deluge with the new note probability & iteration dependence functions which I consider a real blessing! This song consists of only one 1-bar-pattern but several tracks contain some conditional notes and notes with 1/x iterations which make the whole thing sound like longer patterns or complex pattern chains.

Furthermore, this is the first time I use my recently acquired Jomox MBase 11 in a live jam. Damn this thing has analog power.

Instruments used:
Jomox MBase 11: Bass drum
Synthstrom Audible Deluge (additional drums; hardware sequencer)
Moog Subphatty: Lead bassline
Cyclone Analogic Bassbot TT-303: acid line 1 (through TC Dark Matter and TC Vintage Delay X4)
MAM MB33 Retro: acid line 2
Waldorf Streichfett: strings

external effects: Lexicon MX200 (chorus & delay), TC M350 (delay), TC M-One XL (reverb)

If you like this music, please give a thumbs up, leave or comment and/or subscribe.

Cheers!

Strymon Magneto Eurorack 4 Head Tape Delay & Spring Reverb

Published on Mar 12, 2018 Perfect Circuit Audio

"This video shows a few of the sounds you can get with the Strymon Magneto which is Strymon's first eurorack module, an emulation of a four head tape delay with spring reverb. The Magneto can go from clean delays to saturated old crinkly tape in a broken warbly tape machine. The Magneto also has looping and sampling modes where the tape transport can be controlled with buttons or cv gates.

Mutable instruments Rings vs Yamaha Reface CP

Published on Mar 12, 2018 ollilaboratories

"If you like my stuff please support me on http://music.ollilab.com/ and https://www.patreon.com/theBURG

A thought hit me, one of the modes in the MI rings has a striking resemblance to a wurly sometimes when played in a special way.. so, i thought, what the heck, lets pair it up with the reface CP and see what happens. :)

The reface CP goes into the modular, it gets processed with a Sound on Sound delay reel in the morphagene in reverse. The reface also controls the Mi Rings via the uMIDI interface. Now since the rings technically is monophonic (eg just one note per note pressed) but when in poly mode four notes will overlap creating this weird flow when i play it like a piano. Also if i do trills legato style the character becomes flutelike when the transients cannot be heard. So cool!

MI Rings is getting a slight bit of modulation on brightness, position and damping.. but only when is start the sequence with PAM, this to help change the reaction of the sound compared with the intro.

MI Braids has a saw/square setting, where i morph between the waveforms using an LFO. Filter is uVCF, 2 oclock on resonance. Sequenced by octone, a 5-step sequence (of course).

Expert sleeper disting, does the bass note, randomly triggered by the 2hp TM. Ripples filter, and a bit of overdrive into the uVCA.

Two channels come out from the modular, Reface CP + RIngs into the keeley caverns for some modulated reverb plus delay. MI braids and ES disting into the RE-20 for a fast TD style berlin school delay.

This setup is super creative, and really begs to play ambient noodles for ages and ages.. but i had to stop at some time to not bore you guys. :)

Gear used:
* Reface CP
* modular - https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/445007

FX used:
RE-20 space echo
Keeley electronics caverns

Moog DFAM Review

Published on Mar 12, 2018 Ask.Audio

"The Moog Drummer From Another Mother (DFAM) is here. Another semi-modular synthesizer following the same form factor as the Moog Mother 32. Aside from the onboard surface controls you get a 24 point patchbay for interconnectivity with other modular devices. Just like the Mother 32 this is a stand alone synthesizer but you can also use it as a Eurorack module."
