We had the pleasure of hosting a great character from the world of synthesizers.

On the occasion of the active collaboration with the guys from This Is Not Rocket Science, Felix Visser, founder of SYNTON, the Dutch company famous for Syrinx and Fenix synthesizers (I, II and III), came to visit us from the Netherlands.

He told us how the Fenix synth was born and how the collaboration with TiNRS is leading to the creation of a new version of the Fenix, revisited in a modern way.

Erica Synths Techno System

"Erica Synths Techno System is finally here with great sounding drum modules, a two oscillator bass synth, as well as distortion and other effects. The system also includes the drum sequencer module with normalized trigger routing so you don't need to patch cables to trigger the modules. There are also multiple mixers in the system making it easy to do complex audio routing and sub mixes. The Sample Drum module is coming soon to complete the system with sample playback capability. These modules are also available individually as well as in the system.

"The Hydronium DIY acid synth kit from Rare Waves is coming soon! Available in tabletop or Eurorack format. This video takes a closer look at its fun features and explains the CV patch options.
Hydronium can be controlled by either MIDI or CV-Gate. Its VCO has sawtooth, square wave, and PWM waveforms. Pitch slide (legato glide) effect works with both MIDI and CV-Gate control, and it has a handy post-glide v/oct CV output for slaving a second VCO. Glide time can be voltage-controlled. The decay envelope is velocity sensitive, and its bipolar dynamics knob gives unique control over accented notes. Decay time can be controlled by the MIDI mod wheel, as well as a Decay CV input. The filter is a 2-pole state-variable filter. By the term “acid synth” we don’t mean it is a Roland clone, but it does include many 303-inspired playability features... How To Synthesize Analogue Drum Sounds | Roland System 100m

"I've briefly got a 1978 Roland System 100m modular synthesizer in my studio, so thought I'd utilize the window of opportunity to do a little tutorial with it. This week we're looking at making analogue drum sounds from scratch.

If you're experienced with modular then this is very, very basic stuff, but if not, you can experiment with these techniques with hardware or within software, so hopefully they'll give you some broad tips.
