Korg NTS-1 Only - Cinematic Drone Music Choir

Published on Apr 22, 2020 ChrisLody

"If any more proof were needed how perfect the Korg NTS-1 is for me a new toy, it makes effortless cinematic drone music. Perfect.

This is a stock NTS-1 with no custom code installed and i'm not even using midi just to show off :) I've cranked up the Riser reverb (which seems to be a reverb and exciter or pitch shift combined) and the Ensemble modulation effect and I'm using a mix of the VPM oscillator (read FM oscillator) the Triangle wave and the Waves oscillator. It's sounds so much like a male voice choir at times its spooky.

If you need to learn how to use the Waves oscillator, see this video I made:" [posted here]

"A TRYPTICH OF SONIC SUPERIORITY - DEDICATED TO KLAUS SCHULZE

In 1969 Robert Arthur Moog transformed his mighty and complex 3C studio synthesizer system - due to popular demand - into a stage ready triptych of extraordinary beauty and sonic superiority. No wonder the roadworthy Tolex covered 3P rose immediate attention among artists worldwide, and therefore found its way into the hands of artists like George Harrison and bands like The Rolling Stones or Tangerine Dream. One of the most famous 3P users of all time and pioneering founder of berlin school, Klaus Schulze, bought his system in 1975 from German Artist Glorian Fricke and used it for several years for live performances as well as studio recordings. Kindly dedicated to Klaus, we considered it is about time to reengineer and resurrect this wonderful instrument to the very last detail to bring back the authentic sound and feel of the highly sophisticated beauty. With greatest respect to the spirit of the old Trumansburg days, there will be a pristine model but no such thing as a stock 3P-2020, since everything remains customizable to your very own personal taste."

EDC SR-99

"A short demo of an extremely rare 1980'ish drum machine. I think it is a further development of the SR-88 but by another company. This kind of flexible programming is what the DR55 really is missing."

This is the first demo of one on the site. Moby had one for sale here.

SB20 Karusell home alone

Published on Apr 22, 2020 Alex4

"As part of the SuperBooth20 Home Edition we have found a temporary home for our beloved modular karusell in the Große Hamburgerstrasse 36 in Berlin Mitte at the gallery gh36 operated by Adam Chalk.

Our vision is to provide a privat space for everyone to explore the karusell and the surrounding instruments, such as the Haken Continuum as a field of experiementation and exploration.

Wether you are based in the modular scene, the intrumental side of music making or DJing does not matter. You can pick up your intrument and feed it through the karusell or run your vinyl collection through it. Many different scenarios are possible. One can always record their sessions and take them home. It is also possible to play a gig for the street as we have installed a speaker on the outside of the gallery. To set up a privat appointment contact Mr. Adam Chalk via ac@gh36.de. Up to two people will be allowed for each session.

There is no general booking fee required while a small donation to the gallery is welcome."

Published on Apr 22, 2020 SchneidersLaden

"Despite IO Instruments being quite new to the scene, the whole team has lots of experience in the business, some members have been working for companies like MFB and ACL for example.

IO presented their products at Superbooth 2019 and aim to bring the audio quality of the 500 series modules into eurorack.

This workshop is an introduction to the brand and their first line of modules - lots of excellent sounds in there and some inspiring design choices."

Enjoy!
