Korg opsix - Different waveforms

video by Korg

"Unlike the majority of other FM synths, opsix gives you 21 different waveform types (including SINE) to use within each operator as a carrier or modulator, creating an unimaginable number of possible combinations. Quick access is provided via [SHIFT] and the operator mixer for instant editing."

midiphy MatriX Mechanical Grid: Graphical Sequencing with the SEQ v4+

video by Hawkeye

The midiphy MatriX is currently in development.

"Quick graphical sequencing demo of the upcoming midiphy MatriX in conjunction with the midiphy SEQ v4+.

Using the MatriX, polyphonic sequences can be entered graphically, including force-to-scale "auto-correction".

The MatriX extends both the SEQ v4+ (legacy 16x16+X BLM Mode), as well as the LoopA (with an upcoming firmware extension).

Thanks for watching and best regards,
Peter"

VAI 14 : Siel Cruise

video by Vintage Audio Institute Italia

"The mysteriously named Siel Cruise is a polyphonic, divide-down, string machine and monophonic synthesizer.
The ambience in the beginning is achieved by just flipping through the presets with the resonance way up.
The Resonance slider on these need to be way up : they start modulating the sound only when it's pretty much at the top.
The polyphonic section is Small Stone phased, then chopped up by a tremolo, then run into the Roland space echo."

Low Frequency Expander using MPE to control OB-6's pitch, sync and filter, changing clock divisions

video by Steve Hunt

"Demo 4 of the LFE using Midi Polyphonic Expression (MPE) to modulate each of the synth's 6 voices independently. This also works for the Prophet 6.
LFO1 square wave controlling pitch of VCO1 and 2 stepping an octave.
LFO2 square wave controlling filter cutoff running at a faster clock multiple.
LFO3 ramp up/tri/ramp down controlling VCO1 frequency, sync making the classic sync sound.
Each LFO is sync'd to the synth's clock and has its own clock divisor so they can make crazy synchronised patterns.
Later I turn on the synth's delay and play with its clock divisor, also sync'd to the same clock.
MPE allows each of these 3 LFOs to run a separate LFO for each of the synth's 6 voices, so that's 3 x 6 = 18 LFOs running together. There's actually an extra set of 3 global LFOs and 7 envelopes that I'm not using in this demo."

MOS-LAB E-mu Modular Replica Session 1

video by MOS-LAB

"The first demo of my Emu replica modular."

"Quasi Stellar Objects" from the new album "MOD NIGHTS"

video by Marc Mennigmann

"What do you do when you are up at night and can't sleep?I started to experiment with my modular synthesizer and recorded the results. This is a selection of pinged filters, polyrhythmic sequences, strange sounds and moods - but I always tried to work out the music of an experiment. Although some tracks even use the output of a biofeedback sensor connected to an aloe vera plant, these tracks try to give you a sense of melody, harmony and rhythm. So if you like to dive into my night moods, here they are.

Full album available at: https://mennigmann.bandcamp.com/album...

It features sounds from the Instruo Saich, a pinged Cwejman RES-4 and the Erica Pico Voice. All these are triggered and filtered by Rene 2, a DMF-2, a Sinc Bucina and mangeled with a Lubadh and a Mimeophon. Finally I added the keyboard synth line using the Knifonium VST."

Experimentation | Ambient IDM (Prophet 10, Roland System 8, Machinedrum, Virus TI, Spectralis 2)

video by MIDERA

"A few things I'm working on here:

1) Still deciding whether to keep the SLR Magic 40 1.33X anamorphic lens. In my second part of the video, I left my lens wide open, I thought it looked ok, but it's obviously very soft. I think stopping down to f4 is ok (as the first portion of the video was filmed there. In my previous video - I used the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with no bars, but that actually makes it difficult to add things to Youtube because it's not an approved aspect ratio, funny enough. So I've gone back to desqueezing the video and leaving the bars.

2) Sequencing: I have been trying to find the best, quickest way to write music. I'm starting to realize that I had what I worked best with all along - the Spectralis. I've tried a bunch of different ones, but nothing ever seems to work in the way that I work very well. The downsides that I have noted are fading away as I begin to adventure into other MIDI capable patchbays (visible in the video).

What else is there to say... it's a journey that's left me confused - the lenses, the look of the film, the sequencers... Just trying to enjoy the process of jumping into things I don't know and just trying it out.

Gear:
Prophet 10 REV4 (pads)
Radikal Technologies Spectralis II (sequencing, FX)
Elektron Machinedrum (Drums)
Roland System 8 (Arp)
Strymon DIG (For P10)
Boss MD500 (For P10)
Eventide Blackhole"

Nice Kiss ~ Digitakt and Octatrack Techno Performance

video by EZBOT

"In this video I perform my track submission for the techno/minimal techno compilation that took place in my discord. This is 1 of 50 different artist submissions all of which are techno/minimal techno.

This track to me was all about smooth transitions - which is why it took me so many attempts to finally record a performance worth sharing.

I sampled myself saying "nice kiss.. you do that on purpose?" All of the sounds are from the Digitakt. The Octatrack is acting as a mixer, looper, and fx-box. Find this Octatrack template on my Patreon (link below) page.

Here is the record from the last compilation: https://sawxxi.bandcamp.com/"
