DROID - Universal CV Processor

video uploads by Der Mann mit der Maschine

"This video introduces my new Eurorack synthesizer module "DROID". The DROID is a universal CV processor, that can do anything in your modular synth... except audio! The DROID has 8 CV inputs and 8 CV outputs and you can use them to implement lots of different utility functions, even at the same time. You can implement sequencers, quantizers, clock dividers and multipliers, trigger delays, precision adders, ADSR like envelope generators, random generators, turing machines, slew limiters, CV mixers, CV matrix mixers and many many more things."

The eurorack module that can do everything with CV – Introduction to Droid

video upload by Monotrail Tech Talk

"Droid – the Universal CV Processor – can basically do everything when it comes to control voltages. It can create modulation signals like complex LFOs and envelopes. Perform creative utilitarian functions like mixing, logic, quantizing, and so on. And it can do complex pattern and melodic sequencing. This gives you the power to create your own complex modules, or even entire custom control surfaces for performances.

I have been using it for a couple of months now, and in this video I explain how it works, and how it can be used. At least, I made a start, because the possibilities are basically endless!"

Rare Music App on an Old Pocked Computer

video upload by Alexander Zolotov

"Demonstration of the PsyTexx music tracker on the old and slow Palm Tungsten T PDA (16mb RAM; 144 MHz CPU).

Music: NightRadio - Polar Radio (2005)
Download: https://nightradio.bandcamp.com/album...
Full discography: https://nightradio.bandcamp.com

PsyTexx is the first Amiga MOD-based player and tracker for PalmOS. It includes a 12-channel sampler and pattern editor with support for non-standard audio effects (echo,filter,distortion,etc.).
This is one of my first music apps before I started creating SunVox.

The 'Warm Place' album was written from scratch using PsyTexx on this device in 2005."

MFM2: More Feedback Machine

MFM2 is our over-the-top digital delay plug-in. You can create anything from subtle textured echos to huge spacey reverbs, from wild tonal steps on a pad to rhythmic deconstruction of a drum track. As a regular delay MFM2 already offers as much control and inspiration as possible, while the advanced features in version 2.5 open up wider horizons. More feedback, more control, more inspiration!

New in version 2.5:
input section with gain, filter and transient balance
4 delay lines with independent absolute time or tempo-synced modes
Each delay line has its own multimode filter: 2x lowpass, bandpass, 2x highpass, bandreject or allpass
6 default delay configurations or user matrix (freely route signals between all 4 delay lines)
4 syncable LFOs with 8 waveform options or user definable shapes
2 syncable and loopable multi-stage envelope generator (MSEG) modulation sources
4-slot modulation matrix with depth modulation from a second source
2 channel-pair effects: soft clipper, bit crusher, phaser, frequency shifter, filter...
New in version 2.5: granular (pitch shift, reverse delays) and diffusor (reverb)
2 channel-pair compressor/limiters, with peak or maximize modes
New in version 2.5: output shield (soft clipper) with strength and threshold options
Scalable UI from 70% to 200%
400+ factory presets

Future Sound Systems: FIL3 and FIL4 dirty filters compared

video upload by John Schussler

"Future Sound Systems isn't known for making polite modules. Their original claim to fame was a Eurorack version of the Gristelizer, and surely the name alone is enough to tell you what it sounded like.

These two modules are both filters (though not part of the Gristleizer line). The FIL3 Spectral Devastator is two filters in series (unless you decide otherwise), whereas the FIL4 Timbral Sculptor is a single filter with a couple wave folders and a rectifier in the signal chain (again, unless you decide otherwise).

I suppose you can maybe make things sound 'nice' with these, but mostly I'm trying to decide which one creates a more visceral rip, tear, and shred for the hp it takes up.

Input audio was a basic sine wave from a Dixie II+. Sequenced by Stochastic IG. Envelope by Zadar.
