"Casio x Haunted Harmonics - Haunted Casio PT-100 👻

This custom Casio keyboard features 10 distinct modifications, including: A combo pulse/filter switch (with knob for tuning), a sustain toggle, drum fill, lead and chord distortion, drum distortion, drum reverse switch, gain control, and an 1/4” line out.

All of the PT-100’s original features are intact and unaffected when the mod switches are turned off. When turned on, they provide a wide range of musical effects, all of which interact with each other, providing nearly endless possibilities for unique tones & sounds.

It’s bass-y chiptune drums, fuzzy growling chord section, & breathtaking bit crushed leads make it the perfect instrument for dance punk, dubstep, & vaporwave, & Crystal Castles cover bands."

Anyone recognize the theremin?

Carol Of The Bells - CJ Thomas (Soft Piano and Analog Synthesizer Cover)

video upload by CJ Thomas

"On a last-minute whim, I decided to create a version of Carol Of The Bells originally composed by Mykola Leontovych. It's one of my favorite pieces of holiday music. Hope you enjoy!

Mastering by Peter Duff."

Eurorack with cello: An ambient journey featuring Ruina Versio and Electus Versio

video upload by Noise Engineering

"Here's a performance with cellist and NE's Chief Plumber Adam Lange-Pearson, using two Versios in his modular setup for the effects chain.

In this jam, Adam explored several things he found challenging:

Use light distortion (using Ruina Versio in this case) to color the cello sound without losing the, um, cello sound. He often has fun shredding with full-wave rectification cranked, but here he wanted to just add something to support the mood without it being obvious.

Improvise over short sequencer-based repetition. He says he has a lot to learn here, but it’s fun :) For this jam, 0-Ctrl provided rhythm, Horologic Solum was the flexible clock, and Vox Digitalis was the pitch-sequencer. The voice was the ever-versitile Loquelic Iteritas, in pink.

Most of the knob-twiddling is on Ruina Versio and Electus Versio.

There are several ways to get cello audio into the case: Adam played into a large condenser mic plugged into a small mixer (for the phantom power), and ran that into a eurorack receiver module."

ESK - Yocto 808 + Take 5 + Sansui RG-700 Jam

video upload by Metunar

"Simple jamsession with a Yocto 808, Sequential Take 5 and mixed together with a Sansui RG-700 HiFi effect unit. The RG-700 can mix 2 stereo line inputs with independent EQ and a mic/keyboard input.
There is a LoFi Reverb with a separate EQ. It’s not a spring reverb, probably it’s done with a BBD.

Replacement Wood Side Panels for Moog Sub Phatty Side Panels Going Tacky

A few pics of the Moog Sub Phatty with Synthcraft woood side panels in via John L Rice. Synthcraft makes side panels for others synths as well. You can find them directly on their website, as well as their Reverb shop.

John let me know the orginal side panels on his Sub Phatty have started to feel tacky to the touch. I just checked my Sub Phatty and sure enough it is a little tacky as well. I wish manufacturers would stop using finishes that break down over time.

On a separate note, you can find videos by John featuring the Sub Phatty in previous posts here.
